Realistic names who are worth 14mil next year? That is actually what it will cost to make a change. I know Gruden is worth it! I just don't see many other coaches that would be worth that kind of money. Most other names would have the fan base split once again.

Simple.... Offer Saban twice money that those Rednecks in Bama is paying. He is proven and Bama will be like they were before Saban.

Seriously! Those guys are worth 14mil for their first year of coaching?!!!!! See that makes my point. Gruden being a potential candidate will sour any other coach that comes in. The fan base would be decided once again with any of those names. A divided fan base is not worth spending 14 mil!

Reported by university of Alabama he makes 5.3 million and I say university probably makes 20 times what they pay him. He would easley be worth 10.5 -11 million. University of Tennessee would be a winner on field and profit.

If 102,000 people filled up thier tanks at a Pilot station on a Saturday, that would be over 6,000,000 dollars. Multiply that by the number of home games and you will see that UT selling tickets is a big deal to some of those boosters.

Saban talk is just stupid, period. No way we could pay him enough to leave and coach in the same conference. On top of that I don't believe money would be an issue anyway. We could offer $15 mil and he isn't coming here from there.

These numbers are getting crazy! CFB HC's already make several times more than the Univ Pres! When does it become just a professional sport played on a college campus?

I think he would. We have great facilities that players like but need coaches to get them here that are proven. Good players always want to play for championship coaches. He would have us minimum 9 wins in 3 years if not 10. The fourth and 5th year we would be competing for conference and nationial titles.

Dont see it either but might as well throw out money to best coach. Bama not that great when they hired him. Like asking a great looking girl out...never know until you ask.

You seriously think the University of Tennessee would pay 11mil per year to a coach. Absolutely NO ONE makes that as a coach! Lol

What about the asst's? Maybe another 10 mil for them? Not many could afford the $500/ticket price of admission to Neyland.:crazy:

Not University it is to cheap big time donors and boosters would help there. Heard that Jimmy Haslam owner of Pilot and Browns is a Billionaire and is a big time booster. He could get the wheel turning. Will this ever happen probably not but could happen certain people wanted it to happen.

I get it he's proven but we ARE NOT bama and if your so infatuated by Saban and bama burn your orange and buy some crimson ...

I want to hire someone that can get us to the same level as LSU and bama... not just say oh we worship your program an coach so were going to steal him...

Dude, how is college ball NOT a professional sport? From multi million dollar facilities to video games and mutli billion dollar TV deals.... I mean you gotta be kidding with that remark?

I've argued for a long time that the NFL should be forced into creating farm leagues similar to MLB to help weed out players who just want to pursue a football career instead of an education. Seriously... an UGA fan asked this? Wow! Your boy Richt ain't exactly making chump change by the way.

People say the same about spurrier but would not really care if we won games and championships. I don't like Saban just brought up ideal because he is best in NCAA right now. I wished we could get Gruden but see don't see it.Gruden is long shot just as Saban would be but Saban is proven in college level.
