I can believe they have worries about Leach. But not the lawsuit. He is smarter than they are, he has a law degree from Pepperdine I think. And he will give them the two gun salute in a moments notice. And they could not abide with that.

Am told #Tennessee AD John Currie's intrigued with Mike Leach but the WAZZU coach having sued his old employer is a tough one for him & the #Vols to get past.

Don't lump us in with Currie, we can get past that just fine.

What's Leach's baggage? Putting a player in a dark equipment shed during practice bc he had concussion symptoms? The son of the old SMU running back that is now an analyst I think

Yeah, he got fired for observing concussion protocol. Then the AD refused to pay him. Peep in Lubbock got up a petition for the university to pay Leach instead of stiffing him. I think he is a decent guy.

Volnation is home of the snowflake nation. Melted at the thought of Schiano becoming coach when he would have been exactly the coach we need. Nice job morons. Now even Jim Bob Cooter turned us down. Wow. Schiano was the answer and the snowflake nation melted. Embarrassing.

Didnt Leach lock players in a box for hours when they dropped a pass or fumbled? Might not be the best choice.

Not remotely. He was accused by Craig James and Adam James for locking Adam in a electrical room as punishment for having a concussion. Here is what really happened based on the actual court testimony.

Adam James showed up in practice wearing street clothes and sunglasses and complained of a concussion. He said the sunglasses were to protect against sunlight, and all that he could do is observe practice. Per the concussion protocol, Mike Leach had him checked for a concussion by the training staff - which at all big programs are trained medics. The trainer said he did show symptom including a reaction to strong light.

Leach told the trainer to take him somewhere dark - which is part of a concussion protocol when there is an issue with light. Its literally what Mike Leach was required to do. They took him to a huge equipment room that also doubled as a rehab location. The pictures of the room show its a clean, roomy place that players use all the time both before and after the events.

Adam James went into an electrical closet himself, then shot a video with his cell phone, then sent the video to a PR company. James claimed he was locked in it. There is literally no lock on the door to the room he went in himself. The trainer found James in the room an hour later and asked him what the hell he was doing in it.

James in court actually lied to the point he claimed they put him in the electrical room with no place to sit. In spite of the fact there is a literally a chair in the electrical room you can see in Jones video.

EDIT: Grammar.

That was all debunked and I’m guessing Craig James is unhirable now

By who?

"Before Coach Leach was terminated, Texas Tech officials worked with him to try to resolve an extremely volatile situation," Grigg said in a statement. "Coach Leach’s response: Cuss out his boss, sue his employer, and demanding millions and millions of dollars.

"Ultimately, Leach’s mistreatment of a student-athlete with a brain concussion, coupled with his subsequent insubordinate behavior, left the university with no choice but to fire him. Coach Leach was justifiably terminated for cause in conformity with his contract."

Grigg said Tech should not pay Leach.

"Even after Coach Leach sued Texas Tech, we actively participated in trying to settle the case, but the Leach team was totally unreasonable," Grigg said. "The courts determined Texas Tech does not owe Leach any money. Although I do not speak for the University, in my opinion, given the courts’ rulings, it would be improper for Texas Tech to pay Coach Leach. This matter is over."

Mike Leach still fumes over dispute with Texas Tech

Schiano was never the answer for any question in regards to TN football.

By who? (quote is in response to Leach being cleared up)

Essentially the courts. Leach was fired with cause, when the whole thing was made up. He should have cussed them out. They screwed him out of a nearly one million dollar bonus.

The only reason he didn't get damages paid to him was the State of Texas invoked Sovereign Immunity. The court allowed the use of Sovereign Immunity to refuse damages even though Leach proved his case. The court essentially said even though the state of Texas is guilty of not honoring its contract, the state only has to honor the contracts they want to honor.

EDIT: Grammar. Yet again. I should use the Preview.

If we end up getting Leach, I hope the Blackbeard costume gets here before he does. Who could make an orange and white pirate flag? I want to be one of the first fans he sees when he shows up.

So nothing was presented, therefore nothing was debunked.

No, a ton was presented. A ton.

I've read the depositions. The entire facts of the events were done via depositions. They are not in dispute.

It was essentially all debunked under oath. Even Adam James testimony under oath is far different than what he presented to the press.

Honestly, I was shocked how innocent Leach was. I thought he must have done something. Essentially he didn't do anything remotely close to abusing a player to Adam James. Yes, Leach comes across as a dick sometimes, but no more than any coach with a reputation of a disciplinarian.

EDIT: Had typed Jones instead of James. I suck today on proof reading.

So there is a Leach, a Kiffin, a Norvell, a Steele, a Martin.....and even a Miles......and even others.

But somehow Tennessee's backup plan to Gundy is Brohm?

Not saying Brohm isn't a good coach, but haven't we been down this road many times over the years........and if he succeeds or fails.....will he stay.....I mean Tennessee is in a hot mess, and he would be leaving Purdue after just 1 year.

lets spend 18 million dollars hoping Brohm is the guy. Leach wants the job. Currie is awful.

If having the moral outrage to stand up and voice our opinions to keep anyone associated with that hot garbage that happened at Penn State and to keep this failure of an AD from hiring his friend for millions of dollars makes me a snow flake then so be it you can address me as Frosty from now on . I would also suggest that if you think he’s the coach “ we “ need maybe you should check out “ the Ohio State Buckeyes “ their standards seem to be inline with yours .
