They win games, something we dont do alot of
I agree whole heartedly! I wanted Leach ever since Kiffin left and once again,I didn't get what I wanted but now that Pruitt is the coach, he's going to have to get a fair shot. One season and one game is not a fair shot. I am embarrassed and frustrated by the loss but that is irrelevant to the fact that Pruitt has to be given a fair chance. If we did fire Pruitt, the same guy who hired him would be hiring the next guy. So why would the results be guaranteed to be better? I know some will flame away with the same old "you're accepting mediocrity" garbage but the fact of the matter is I'm just facing reality.Your point is spot on. What I'm amused by is the fact that this seems like an annual post. Seems UT is always ready to fire and start yet another damned coaching search. It's almost like we're playing some video game. Game goes badly and you simply hit the reset button and start over....and over...and over again. Pruitt might not be the answer, but good grief, let's give the man a chance to sink or swim with a roster stocked with the players he has chosen.
To all who are calling for Pruitt to be fired I ask you: What top level coach would comer here at the stage this program is in right now? It's a total hot mess. And no, money won't do it either. A top level coach can get a job paying high $ at plenty of other schools so TN is not a desired school these days like some you still think it is. And the many HC changes is mostly how we sunk to this level so keeping Pruitt at least 4 yrs probably makes sense just to see if he can stabilize the program and then maybe a top notch HC can be hired.
I am not a Pruitt supporter so don't flame me for that, just saying take a look at the overall picture of the program before you just call for everyone to be fired. Thats not the answer right now.
