Coaching is like playing golf, when you are good it's fun! But when you suck, it horrible with a lot of cursing. Not so sure Pruitt is wanting to continue this pain. I see Pruitt days as ever being a head coach again VERY unlikely! I have the same thoughts for Derek Dolittle. In fact, these two guys are very much the same. You are equating lively hood with money. If money was the only thing that drives these guys don’t you think Saban, Dabo, Harbaugh, Smart and all these coaches would just ride off into the sunset.
The fact that Pruitt has more votes than Matt Campbell or Gus Malzahn tells you everything that you need to know about a large portion of our fanbase.
My question is if everyone believes our Qb's arent being developed why on Earth would we go to a triple option offense?? Running the ball aint the problem neither is our playaction. Its the plays in between. Gus wasnt exactly a qb guru and his teams often failed to meet their potential bc of their inability to throw consistently (which is part of the reason he is out of a job). Now i would be all for Steele as our DC but idk about Gus. Salter & BM would be the only 2 Qb's we could keep. If u want a fast break offense Freeze is probably your guy. Im pretty content on seeing what we look like with a full offseason bc i believe the offseaon matters. If nothing changes there is no reason why we cant pull the plug early and get the new HC a head start.I don’t understand why anyone would want Chadwell over Malzahn. Very similar philosophies with the triple option attack supplemented with downfield passing. One has WAY more experience than the other. I’m not interested in an up and comer
We need the football equivalent to Rick Barnes. A proven winner who can build a program who has recently been kicked to the curb or recently stepped down. I am thinking Bob Stoops, Urban Meyer, Les Miles, Gus Malzahn, etc. No more hoping they do well, we need proven.
A lot of flawed premises in this post. Welcome to 2021.Fulmer has put this program in jeopardy and is only left with two options.
1. Keep his below average coach and hope he can win 5 games next year. Then Fulmer can proclaim the Vols are on their way back.
2. Fire his below average coach and pay him $3mil/year for the next 4 years to be Alabama’s defensive coordinator.
Only an inept AD could create this nightmare by giving the extension. No wonder the rest of college football is laughing at Tennessee.
