I was in trial out of town last week. I defend Sheriffs in civil litigation. A guy with a long history of sex offenses against teenage boys sued for false arrest because, on a particular occassion, he was arrested without cause, though the circumstances were suspicious. Let's just say the deputies were not going to leave him at the underage drinking party where they found him, even if the charge they arrested him on was dubious.
So, mock me all you want, but I was defending some folks who might have done the wrong thing for the right reason. His lawyer asked the jury for $30,000 and the jury awarded him $500.
As to the Gators, from what I hear, they played their worst game of the season yesterday. I have really been out of it and focused on what I'm doing so I don't know about these issues alluded to by others.
Obviously, something is not right with the team at the moment and they are running out of time to address it. As we all saw last year, it is critical to go into the tournament on a roll and peaking, as opposed to tired and maybe even a little bored. Donovan has his work cut out from him, from what I've seen the least couple of weeks.
