Yet another GOPer caught in sex scandal and misuse of government property

No shortage of threads and posts by conservatives accusing liberals of it. I guess when you use the phrase "one of the most tiresome political accusations," you mean to add "when levied correctly against a Republican."

It's equally tiresome from both sides . . . which is funny because in "combatting" it, you make yourself appear as annoying as those whose views you dislike.

I keep telling you this, but for some reason you just won't let me be your life coach.

Ok, next time i see a thread or a post on here about hypocrisy on the part of a Democrat, I will remind you that you have previously dismissed such claims as merely "tiresome."

I guess Coulter was right about something:

"The reason any conservative’s failing is always major news is that it allows liberals to engage in their very favorite taunt: Hypocrisy! Hypocrisy is the only sin that really inflames them. Inasmuch as liberals have no morals, they can sit back and criticize other people for failing to meet the standards that liberals simply renounce. It’s an intriguing strategy. By openly admitting to being philanderers, draft dodgers, liars, weasels and cowards, liberals avoid ever being hypocrites."

Yep. The party which you are not apart of has no morals.

My goodness, do you people not hear yourselves?

I care more about professional hypocrisy, not personal hypocrisy.

You won't have to remind me. I'm an expert on what I think.

You see, Lt.Gov. Sheehy ran on a platform of family values. He said he was a conservative. He was heir apparent to a conservative governorship. Meanwhile, he was engaged int he very behavior and waste of tax payer dollars that he criticized.

where is it proven he wasted tax dollars? I can call as many people as I want and never pay extra on my bill. Surely the Lt Gov can figure out how to do that too. If he couldn't that would be a bigger waste

If Menendez did what he is accused of, he's a bad guy. But unless he ran on a platform, you know, directly contradictory to what was in fact his life, they are not comparable.

you're right, Menendez has never run on a platform against having sex with underage prostitutes. He's clear

Honestly, I think that's the hardest realization for some people; that people can have the same goal but different ideals without being lesser than one another.

Yeah. It feeds into the bigger problem of having so much BS out there that we cannot have an adult conversation about the problems which face us. Thus, we end up getting sucked into these silly tangents while the real problems continue to be unaddressed and getting worse.

Also, you telling me what I and others who aren't you think is more tiresome than the hypocrisy outrage

I was joking around but went searching and found

Democratic New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez boasted in a 2012 campaign fundraising flyer that said he “has consistently defended a woman’s right to be free from abuse” and “safe from trafficking and exploitation.” As the former mayor of Union City, N.J. that’s a subject he’s familiar with.

Both sides are hypocrites.
We have 435 members of the House
We have 100 members of the Senate.

Of the 535 members of Congress, can anyone name 35 members that are not hypocrites?

This is excellent. I agree. I would like it if my elected leader was as pure as I am in personal conduct. But that is a unrealistic because I am awesome. The only time their hypocrisy effects me directly is in their capacity as an elected representative.

Was that his entire platform, or even a mainstay of it, like Sheehy's was about what a great conservative he is? Doubt it.

Sheehy is a tool, no doubt, but this is a weak argument on behalf of your pedophile.

According to his senate page. He run on clean energy. But he took a private jet which leaves a bigger carbon footprint. Hypocrite

Sheehy's entire platform was about adultery?

Menendez is a big immigration advocate (big part of his platform) yet he walked right into having a campaign staffer that was an illegal alien AND sex offender.
