Urban Meyer can sure pick them. Just think, we are 3 - 4 years from hearing these stories about former Buckeyes.

Stupid thing to say. He has to know, in this day and age, that some idiot is filming everything.

Yes . . . He revealed himself to be a racist meathead. Yes . . . The organization reacted correctly.

But the idea that a guy that resides in NFL lockerrooms is now going to go to sensitivity training and he'll be fixed and media has actually gone to Michael Vick for comment is pure comedy.

I guarantee that word is uttered many, many times every Sunday.

It was stupid but otherwise pretty much a non-story. He apologized, apparently his teammates forgave him, move on.

I'd like to hear Verne Lundquist break this story.
"Tim Tebow's former roommate uses racial slur."

LeSean McCoy of Philadelphia Eagles loses respect for Riley Cooper after slur - ESPN

Cooper should just quit, because obviously there's no forgiveness for this. Of course I'm sure McCoy would never hold another black man to this kind of scrutiny for saying this. In fact I'm going to guess McCoy has used the word several times himself.

And if he's your friend but you're pretty much going to never get past this, you're pretty much a POS friend McCoy.

I mean it's too bad he didn't murder someone, kill a bunch of dogs, beat some women or be a deadbeat dad, otherwise he probably would have kept McCoy's respect.

Many Eagles fans lost respect for Shady McCoy after his set of embarrassing incidents off the field.

While he's not proven to be as dumb to be filmed in any of these incidents, he's no paragon of virtue.

I just think it's hilarious that when people in general and especially athletes do things, we're told not to judge blah blah blah....but utter a racial slur and the judgments fly and they are set in stone.

It's beyond retarded.

Why is it not a racial slur in rap lyrics ?

Wait until every black safety in the NFL meets him across the middle

They can, but it will cost them $$$$$$$$$$ Goodall will be watching closely - since Vicks idiot brother twittered a bounty reward to anyone who does pound him. 1000 bucks any NFL saflety would laugh at that amount.

Cooper has "stepped away from the team for a period of time."
AKA: His playing career is over.

Wow.

Wow.

Completely and utterly ridiculous.

Seriously, too bad he didn't beat a woman, idiots like McCoy would have given him a fist bump.

He obviously made a serious mistake saying the N word, but he had had a few drinks. No that does not excuse his actions, but I would think his teammates would understand. Of course the media has their hands on this now and are making it 100 times worse, as the media always does. If guys can get away with assault, DUI's, and dog killing then Cooper should not lose his career over a word.
