Guess it depends on your definition of “arrived”. What those playoffs showed us is that we may be a 12-15 team but couldn’t truly play with the big boys. GA is the big boys. You start beating them the. You’ve “arrived”. There are plenty in those stands that prob can never remember a win against Georgia.

How embarrassing was if for Gamecock fans watching Shane Bummer getting the Gatorade shower for beating Vitginia Tech? I was laughing at the absurdity, but still embarrassed for them as an SEC team.

His father was the Head Coach for like 30 years there at Va Tech Legacy thing.

His kids love him. Just like Tennessee loves Heupel. Very similar to Heupel and the OU game last year…

I do agree, though...we NEED to beat UGA. It needs to be this year. Disagree COMPLETELY on storming the field. '22 Bama, I was cool with. Last year, not so much. I was never a fan of storming in '98, after we beat Florida.

we can discuss rushing the field all we want, however, if we win our student body will rush the field because they don't care about any consequences. Also most of them will have a little liquid in them.

Our fans need to act like we expect it, not like it is a miracle.

I agree. My thoughts are based on the moment. If the fans are all charged up and there’s a ton of excitement among them and it spontaneously breaks out…. No one is thinking about the fine or acting like you’ve been there

Why doesn't Alabama rush the field when they beat an opponent?

Cause they aren't a loser program. They expect to win every game. Maybe its time we stop acting like a loser program and act like one that expects to win every game we play.

We finished 9th in the Final AP poll. So no we're not a 12-15 team. We're firmly in the top 10. Now we're not in the top 2-3. And that's a fair point. But I don't think only 3 programs have arrived.

Just because an opponent has a win streak on us doesn't mean we have to rush the field. Once again rushing the field is a sign of inferiority. Even if another program has had our number recently doesn't mean we should act like we're lesser than them.

Only loser programs rush the field.

You wanna give us a history lesson on our last 20 years vs theirs? I’m not saying we SHOULD storm the field. I’m saying we’ve done it for lesser occasions and I wouldn’t be mad about it. Given our history as of late vs GA, I fail to see how it’s any less warranted than storming against bama in 22. You categorize this as “ok” because bama is “more of a rival”.

To me, rival or not GA is one of the big boys right now. That’s more justification to me than “bama is a bigger rival”.
