Offensive MVP- Jennings runnerups- Cimaglia & Trey Smith

Defensive MVP- Bituli. Runnerups- HenryT & Warrior

Best Game-South Carolina

Biggest offensive play- TD pass to Byrd vs Miss St to close 91 yd drive to seal the game. If State gets the ball back early there, I’m afraid I’ve seen how it would have ended before.

Biggest Defensive play- 4th down stop vs Ky to win game. Runnerups knocking Cade Mays on his ass when Ga ran behind him on 4th down unsuccessfully.

Season in summary- after losing the first two “winnable” games any chance of an surprising good record for me (9 or 8 wins) was gone. I was concerned it would be a disaster. Team basically won every winnable game there out. I had 7-5 as a floor for an acceptable season this year. I knew SC, Mizzou, Ky & Vandy wouldn’t be as good as in 2018. Not sure the 2019 Vols would have beat any of the 2018 editions of those schools but I’ll take the wins this year. Hats off the the seniors showing great leadership. Warrior, Butuli, Taylor, JJ, Calloway, Kennedy, etc all played their best ball after Florida.

Going from 5-7 to 7-5 usually isn’t real hard. The tough part is going from 7 wins to 9 or 10. Team has to play much smarter (stop the 4th qtr stupid mistakes) and develop consistency at QB (it’s like a box of chocolates,to quote a Bama scholar, we have no clue what we’ll get)

2020 could be interesting and I’m usually an optimistic person but we must be realistic also. 4 games Tennessee will be big underdogs in.

It's easier when you beat all the OOC cupcakes on your schedule. If we win the ones we're supposed to win and lose the ones we're supposed to lose, 8-4 becomes a pretty safe projection for next year. Still a delta b/t UT and UF, UGA, BAMA, OKlahoma. Getting 9 wins means difficult task of winning all the ones your're supposed to, and winning one of the other four. Our D should keep us in some games next year.

Can't argue with any of those awards. I don't know that I've ever experienced such low lows turn into such optimism before. The big orange rollercoaster ain't broken down yet

I think we have a good chance to beat Oklahoma....idk what Florida will have as far as depth next year either and it's at home.

I wonder who OU’s coach will be next year after Lincoln takes the Cowboys job? :)
