If you’re looking for someone with a flawless record you’re going to be looking for a long time.Freeze lost to Memphis (yes, Memphis) the same year he beat Alabama. You good with that?
I think he went 3-2 against Mullen. So he at least knows how to beat him head to head.I think it's hard to judge anyone who had to compete in the SEC West during the time that Mullen was at Miss. State, Miles had LSU on top, and of course Saban was at Bama.
That being said, now that Mullen is at Florida, and Kirby at Georgia, I'm not sure the East is much easier.
This.. Ole Miss had not finished in the top 10 since 1969. The 2015 team was the first to accomplish that since.Freeze did that at Ole Miss with a lot less talent than Gus had.
Freeze did that at Ole Miss. He’s the better option and it isn’t close.Really think Hugh freeze is a solid hire? Better yet, when someone like Gus Malzahn (who’s beaten all of our rivals a handful of times) is waiting at home on a phone call, you’d rather go after a dude like Freeze?
ALL ABOARD THE GUS BUS
Yes. He got some good recruits. But go back and check those classes overall. He had two top 10 classes in 6 years which is very good for Ole Miss but not really "special" when you are in a division with LSU, TAM, and Bama. His best class was in '16... which he didn't really get the chance to coach.More with less? Didn't he land huge recruiting classes with Tunsil, etc which had us all wondering how long it would take for sanctions to follow?
The bottom half of the East is currently worse than the West. That's cyclical. He also had to play GA, AL, LSU and A&M on a yearly basis. Here, he would only have 2 of those 4 on an annual basis
I can. I can also tell the difference between a coach with a losing SEC record, a shady record both cheating and with underage hookers and not much else to offer and a more established coach with less baggage that would be a better optionIf you can’t figure out the difference between Ole Miss and TN, I can’t help you.
To compare if Pruitt won 5 SEC games next year and 4 in 2022 he would have the same number of wins Freeze had at Ole Miss during the same time periodYour point? Mine was a HOF coach lost to Memphis and Beat Alabama with a QB that you couldn’t beat 85% of these posters off his jock, yet you are going to criticize a guy coaching at OLE FREAKING MISS, with Joe Schmoo at QB. Yeah that’s apples to apples
I want Freeze because he has improved 3 programs from year ONE.
Sure he had problems. Sure he is somewhat of a gamble......but good coaches don’t always need “years” to get it done.
I don’t know of anyone who would be closer to a “sure thing” (as far as improving and winning) that would come to Tennessee.
Pretty sure if the hookers were underage he would be in jail, that is illegal and as far as I know, he was never charged with anything, including solicitation. So, if you want to cast stones, make sure you are being accurate and not just making things up. Now, it’s looking like ole Putrid was cheating as well, and losing to boot. And again you fail to realize that coaching at OLE FREAKING MISS is HARDER. Putrid should have 4 automatic wins in Vandy, KY, USC and Missouri. Now for the last time, the SEC West doesn’t have 4 automatic wins, if you are UT, much less OLE FREAKING MISS. It is a tougher division, and you can’t recruit to Miss. Do I think Freeze is all that, no, I could name a few coaches that are better, but, I don’t know if they would come to UT, Freeze would, and he is exponentially better than Pruitt, and it’s not close. Putrid just lead us to the WORST. SEASON. EVER. So, no, I don’t think you know the difference between Ole Miss and UT.I can. I can also tell the difference between a coach with a losing SEC record, a shady record both cheating and with underage hookers and not much else to offer and a more established coach with less baggage that would be a better option
