I feel good about the direction of TN football now since Fulmer is our AD! It’s great to have experienced Orange blood overseeing our beloved Vols! United we stand! divided we fall! Let’s get behind Fulmer and awake the sleeping giant. The fans have now done their part! Take pride in that! God bless TN football and their great fan base!

I agree.

I was a Fulmer basher, basher of the Branch Fulmerian sect of vol fans.

This feels right, and we need cohesion and unity.

We need a singular vision that sees Tennessee as a destination, and a place where championships are the standard.

Heard more throwing around of the the C-word today from Fulmer than any time in the last 9 years.

We no longer have to question loyalties.

It's a good thing.

The proof is in the pudding; we''ll see.

I try to give a new head coach a chance. I'm willing to give Fulmer the same courtesy.

I just hope that we can all just take a deep breath and let PF do his new job. I love how posters are already talking about who he is going to hire before he has been on the job for a day. I believe that to many trolls are on these forums that are just starting/stirring up the crap and rumors. The press conference to me was handled well by Fulmer and believe Davenport to be utterly exhausted by this weeks disaster of an AD.
It made me smile that PF not once mentioned the donors but said the players, students, the fans and the University are what matters.

This week we have had way to many leaks and insider info of who was hired yet none came to fruition and thankfully so. I was an advocate of PF being fired but also always believed he bleeds orange. I hope that with his contacts of the football world he will hire the best possible coach that will want to lead the program with integrity and excitement.

I also hope no insider info is leaked/rumored like this week, since we had what 4-5 new coaches this week alone if you were to believe the trolls, media and insider info.

Welcome back Mr. Fulmer
Go Vols

This...

IMO the bar is set at Mike Leech. He needs an equal or better hire or should've stayed out of the way.

Mike LeAch is not a program saver like some of you want to think. Please, at least, learn to spell the name of the coach you are trying to endorse.

You're right, my misspelling of his name totally proves his lack of qualifications to coach at Tennessee.

Also, I'm far from a serious Leach (there, you feel better now?) endorser. I'm just saying that if Fulmer played a role in squashing Leach, he better damN well bring someone better.

I'll give Fulmer a shot but I wouldn't want to be in business with him.

Not once did he mention reps, resiliency, bricks or complementary football.

Totally correct. Leach is ONLY a .500 coach over his 6 years at WASU, BY ONE GAME. He loses that one and he's under .500. Won no division titles much less a conference championship.

Setting the bar at Leach is setting it low.

He won the B12 South in 2008, not that it really changes much.

The point I was making is that most of the names I've heard associated with this job make Mike Leach look like Vince Lombardi. All I'm saying is Fulmer better not go out and hire Kevin Steele or Tee Martin after getting in the way of Leach.
