Xbox One

It may just be because I am a nerd but I think this is a cool feature.

Also, I played Titanfall last night for the first time in a while, forgot how much fun it is.

I like it as well. I'm always flipping between gameplay and the achievements app to see how much more I need for achievements. Also, finally the "snap" button (2 boxes icon) on the controller will actually bring up the snap menu. All of this will be in July update.

Here's the main features of the July update:

Snap Mode for Achievements.
As we showed at our E3 Green Carpet event before the show, we’re offering an easier way to track and view your achievements in the moment. With Achievement Snap, you can track your achievement progress in real time without ever leaving the game. You can also ‘Get Help’ on any Achievements you’re struggling with. Xbox will scan the web for you and deliver relevant tips and strategy content right to your TV.

Double-tap to Snap.
Double-tap the button on your controller to bring up Snap Center, where you can launch Achievements or any other snap-able app, without leaving your game. Already have an app snapped? Double-tap quickly switches between your game and the snapped app.

Choice of Spoken Language.
Folks in New Zealand, Ireland and Austria, with this update in July, will be able to select voice control using the English or German voice models from other countries. And if you're an expat in an English-speaking country, you, too, can choose any of the other English language models that fit you.

Future Digital Bundles/Compilation Discs.
We’re doing some work now so that publishers will have options for great digital bundle and disc compilation offerings in the future. As we test this feature, we’ll be seeing more flexible combinations of game titles and game content.

‘Like’ Game DVR clips.
We’re adding the ability to ‘Like’ all your favorite Game DVR clips as well as activity feed items in SmartGlass.

I will still choose the PS4 over Xbox One for multi-platform games, but I am impressed with the Xbox One team. They are definitely trying hard to dig out of the hole they initially created. I am happy with it.

I must be missing something, my system says no update available so I assume I've gotten it, and I see no difference in the UI.

There was no update to UI. The update was mainly about the Achievements app being able to be snapped. You can check by going to Settings then Console and Update should be highlighted.

No update to the UI, I was just stating how I like it more than the PS4's.

Oh, I thought you were saying it was an update to the UI and that made you like it more than the PS4's.

I can't stand the XOne's UI. I'll take the PS4's any day, although I agree about the login notifications.

Seems like the updates occur while the system is off now. I like that a lot. Mine was already updated to the new one when I turned it on.

I literally love everything in this update. So glad I stayed loyal to xbox who is obviously listening to their customers very carefully.

I agree 100%. I absolutely love the monthly updates. They've added a ton of much needed and pretty cool features. I'm most excited about the mobile purchasing. Buy the game on your phone while you're out or at work and it's ready to play once you get home. Also glad to see the low battery notification added. Microsoft is definitely listening to their customers.

I do hope in the future that "Friends" area they were previewing will be able to be hidden. Seems like the Home area could get pretty clunky with more additions to it. I don't really care for it to be honest.

I want to put you and BraveVolunteer in a cage to fight it out over which corporate giant really, honestly cares about you the most, since you're loyal and all.

Yeah, kind of like what you've been able to do on the PS4 for months now. :)

True. But glad it's on Xbox. It still boggles my mind that neither console has MP3 playback support. Surely that will be added on both before the end of the year. You would think that any feature on the previous gen console would automatically be a feature on the next gen system but I guess not. No login notifications on PS4 is a huge pet peeve for me.

Hey now! Why drag me into this? Besides I own PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One now! When it comes to the console war, I am officially "Switzerland." :)
