Xbox One

Is the X1 Titanfall bundle w/ 13mo of Live sill $449 at Target? The online price says $499 with no mention of the XBL.

I read an article that the 449 w/13 month of live is only online at Target.

Oh my bad I didn't know yhe Ps4 came with one.

I have a wireless turtle beach for my 360 but I haven't gotten the adapter yet. One of my friends has and it makes his voice sound kind of disembodied.

Its all good. That is why I was frustrated. Also, I have heard the sound quality through the adapter is not that good.

Yeah I know. I have a turtle beach headset that works perfect with the PS4. The PS4 came with a cable that connects the headset to the controller for free. Just pisses me off that microsoft is charging 25 bucks to get your headset to be able to chat.

And it came out, what, four months after the console released?

If they'd done the xb1 owners right, I'd buy a new headset.

As it is, I'm just gonna stick with the cheap one it came with that you can chat on and use speakers for sound.

No headset money from me Xbox/Turtle Beach.

I get what you are saying, but honestly xbox(microsoft) doesnt really care if you purchase a headset......and Turtle Beach is a completely separate company from M$.

OK I have to confess, I have never laughed so hard while unboxing a new console like I have with the Xbox One! '

First of all, this system is definitely the "'merican" console! It's an absolute behemoth and it weighs a metric ton! Everything about it is freaking huge compared to the PS4. From the enormous Kinect camera to the huge power brick to the thick cables! Comparing it to the PS4, if I were to use a car analogy I would say the PS4 is a sleek, high performance, aerodynamic, fuel efficient, fast machine. The Xbox by contrast is a boxy, heavy, loud (in terms of size and design), gas guzzling Amercian heavy metal muscle car LOL!

I have everything hooked up and downloading updates. More to follow.

I had a similar reaction. I had seen an XOne up close at the stores, but never had actually picked one up or anything. When I took it out of the box, my wife was like "Did you get the VCR edition?"

When I got the PS4 and unboxed it, it was like wow....this is it? So much sleeker and less clutter.

While I'm 100% certain a new design is already in the works if not almost done, I still can't believe anyone thought the XOne's design was good.

In terms of system design, I believe MS sort of overcompensated because of the "red ring of death" disaster with the 360. Having the hardware sitting inside such a HUGE casing that's pretty much one giant vent along with an outside power brick shows just how paranoid they were about overheating issues. I have it sitting on top of my entertainment center, pushed back underneath my flat screen so it kind of "disappears" anyway, so it's no big deal. But yeah your wife was right. All it's missing is the blinking "12:00" display in the front. LOL!

I just don't understand the need for the power brick. I would've thought MS would've created a built in power supply like the PS3 and PS4. So much better.

I'm going to go ahead and call it now. Based on design alone, this system has no...shot...In hell of selling in Japan! If I were MS I wouldn't even waste my time with that market.

When I unboxed it I was like WTF. The design of the system is horrible.

I hate the giant MS brick.

I'm sure it won't. The 360 didn't sell well at all so I doubt the XOne is going to change many minds.

Japan is no doubt Sony territory. Even the Wii U is being ignored, though the 3DS is still way more popular than the Vita, just like here.

Japan is sort of an odd market right now. They by and large have become disinterested in consoles are all about mobile gaming. I like mobile game but no way could I ever make that my primary gaming outlet. Until mobile gaming gives me an experience like Skyrim or The Last Of Us or Bioshock Infinite, pffft! Don't waste my time.

I think the Vita is capable of doing that, as it's essentially a portable PS3. The problem with it is, it just isn't supported with a lot of good games. I've played 5 so far, and while they were good games, they all are spinoffs from existing franchises, and were merely portable versions of console games instead of being games built specifically for the Vita.

Yeah but playing on a little 5" screen with ear buds is nowhere near the immersive experience I get at home on my 60" flat screen and home theater. To me, mobile gaming serves as a nice supplement to console gaming but I could never imagine a scenario where it would replace it completely.
