See, if I were govols182 I'd say something like "360 sucks" or "wow, PSN is free" or some other asinine comment. But since I'm not, I'll just say that sucks.

This likely is related to the new higher definition voice stuff for parties and chats. More data traffic is going to cost em.

$10 for all they've added and are here in the near future is nothing..course i haven't paid more than $35 thanks to amazon, toys r us, ebay etc. anyway..

Or maybe the ESPN3 deal might have something to do with it. Gameplan packages are usually 150 bucks a season for each sport.

Speaking as a former PS3 fanboy. It's just 10 bucks. Live is worth it. The addition of espn3 alone justifies the hike in my opinion.

What good is the hardware if you're not going to allocate all of it for developers? Because of that fact the 360 will continue to defeat the PS3 in hardware performance even with it's "inferior hardware".

I have both machines. The PS3 is now a glorified blu-ray player.

Microsoft needs to get a three-tier subscription plan going for Xbox Live if they're going to be using the excuse that they need to charge us extra for stupid crap that has nothing to do with gaming. Facebook is a piece of crap that serves zero purpose whatsoever. The faster Twitter dies, the better. Netflix still requires a subscription is is free to use(with a subscription) on both the Wii and PS3(they also have a search feature). I don't use Last.fm, although I do have one for stuff I listen to on my laptop, the fact that you can't use it within a game makes it useless. Hulu Plus requires a subscription as does Netflix so their excuse doesn't apply, plus Hulu Plus is pretty garbage when compared to Netflix. ESPN3 is free on the laptop/TV. All this crap has nothing to do with gaming and is free/more efficient elsewhere.

The third tier can have all that crap underneath it for $60. The second will allow you to play your games online/use voice chat. Silver will stay the same.

For real though, Microsoft needs to get off their asses and start doing stuff. I'll continue paying for Xbox Live so I can play the full version of games I purchase to me via Amazon/Newegg for >$40 because I'm a sucker. But it's certainly not worth the price of admission. Don't believe the hype. Etc.

in all seriousness, i just made a deal to trade my 360 for a set of sumo sq irons and white hot putter. i hope it does not fall thru. gotta get something out of that 360. cause its sure not going to be money.
