Why do I keep getting a message that tells me to reconnect my controller every so often? I have wireless controllers and they work fine at first then they start disconnecting while in the middle of game play. Can someone tell me whats up?

My grandson said it means the batteries in the controller are getting too low.

If the controller is just flashing then you need to charge the batteries if you have the recharge kit or change the batteries if you don't.

If a message is popping up on your tv then I have no idea. If this is the case try reconnecting it to your console.

just an FYI. you probably want to get a charge and play kit if you don't have one already. if you don't have it or something similar to charge your battery pack, you'll end up spending alot of unnecessary money on batteries in the long run.

If the batteries are fully charged, and it still says it isn't connected, make sure there aren't any metal objects between the controller and console.

I just put the batteries in on Wednesday. The only thing between the consol and remote is a piece of glass. The contoller works fine. The message does pop up on the screen and then the xbox button on the controller is unlit. I push it down and then it lights the 1st quadrant on the consol and controller again and works fine til it happens again.

One other thing that might cause interference is if you have cordless phones in the house. I have heard that they could interrupt your controller signal.

I found several charging packs at walmart for the xbox. Which do you guys recommend? The xbox brand or is the off brand just as good?

It wasn't madcat. I bought it saturday at walmart and it seems to be working well so far. It was $30 and it came with 2 rechargable packs charging station and a cord to recharge while you play.
