How much? Is there a way to not lose my progress on ghosts?

You can buy a transfer cable from a game store, where you could possibly get a pretty cheap used hard drive too, and just transfer the memory from one hard drive to the other. Go to a gamestop and they will explain to you how to do it. Take the transfer cable back when you are done with it and return it for a refund.

Check out the game store prices on hard drives and if you don't like those you can tell me what they were and ill tell you if I'm willing to go cheaper.

You can also use usb thumb drives up to 8gb, I belive. You can use it like a hard drive or use it to copy information to a new drive.

You need to buy a transfer cable, although the connections on the old 250gb drives are exactly the same as the new, you must feed the beast!

Unless the transfer cable costs less than five bucks, why not just use a thumb drive?

The old drives and a transfer cable are chealer than a thumb drive? I wouldn't have guess that. In that case, it's a no brainer.

He has, what I read as the Xbox with the 4gb internal HD. He would simply need to purchase an old 120 or whatever HD on eBay or somewhere abd simply transfer all the content from the internal HD to the new HD buy using just the Xbox.

You just take the drive itself out of the housing, and plug it into the drive slot on the back of the newer boxes.
