Hey nation, how many of you have X Box Live? what do you think about it? How do you play it live? My son wants to purchase one. I wanted to ask you Video Gurus for some input, it would be greatly appreciated.

Check out xbox.com. They have a FAQ section and also forums. I paid around $50 for a yearly subscription and its well worth the money.

Does he have an XBOX or XBOX360? To play live you've just got to have a high speed internet connection, a system, and a live membership. Sign up for a Silver Membership and get a FREE Gold trial. Gold allows you to play with friends online and buy things online, while a silver only allows you to d/l game content and talk to friends. If he likes it after the first month, then I would definitely recommend getting the 12+1 Month Gold Subscription for $50 (less on Ebay). The 13-month subscription will save a bunch of $$ in the end.

Xbox Live is a very great buy. And for $50 a year, it is very cheap entertainment.
