I can see most of that...

Except for the part about Orton having in ring ability.

No. I can't. Just no.

I don't expect everyone to be spot monkeys....but the guy works the same match every damn time and looks like he puts zero thought into what he's doing (rest holds 1 minute in, weird sells/no sells, etc).

I think that is the frustrating part about Orton though. Imagine how great he could be if he were to start actually put emotion and thought into what he was doing in the ring. He has all the ability in the world but he doesn't want to put the work in to make himself as great as he can be. JMO

How many these days do though? I mean even Bryan has adapted to these kicks and splash spear things in the turnbuckle.

Like I said, I don't expect spot monkeys, but at least take 15 minutes in the locker room to work through what you're going to do. Work out hope spots, work out the pacing, etc. You don't need 5 star classics every Monday night, but put a little thought into it. A standard match with the usual spots can look good if its got a little thought behind it.

My main issue comes during the PPVs. It drives me insane to see guys get to a big 4 PPV and work the same match they've been working for weeks.

Orton is another example of a guy who would've been a midcarder during the height of the Attitude era. Good wrestler, but seems to just be phoning it in now. Doesn't properly know how to play a face. Character-wise he was at his best at the peak of the HHH feud, which carried on too long.

His name...is Randy Orton. And he'll go to the papers if he has to.

Whoa.

wwe's stock price soared to another all-time high on thursday, which financial outlet seeking alpha attributed to a rumor of amc networks interested in buying wwe.

Shares peaked at $31.90 on thursday afternoon when the rumor circulated in the investor/financial community.

Wwe's stock price then fell below $30, nearing wednesday's closing price.

The rumor comes at a time when wwe is negotiating a new tv contract with current partner usa network and other potential suitors.

Yeah, that's crazy. I wish I had bought their stock a year ago, as it has since tripled. Had I been keeping up with them and knew about their plan for the WWE app's ability to watch ppv for free I would have bought stock immediately.

Punk was the special guest on Talking Dead tonight (the talk show after Walking Dead airs). No WWE talk obviously, but it was cool to see him on tv again. Sure do miss him in the ring.

First two minutes in, drops a pipebomb. Punk doesn't need the WWE and is showing it.

Anybody need insurance in Knoxville?

WWE Superstar Kane has started a new insurance company with his wife in Knoxville, Tennessee called “The Jacobs Agency.” The company offers auto, home, motorcycle, RV, boat, life and commercial insurance, along with retirement planning.

Kane has reportedly been telling friends that he has been planning to retire from pro wrestling for a while now, but that he has trouble walking away from the money. Apparently his plan is to continue to wrestle as long as he can still make the big money.

The feeling locally in the political world is that Kane has expressed interest in running for public office as a Libertarian party candidate at some point.
