The character has potential. Backwoods person with religious/cult like undertones. House show results don't necessarily reflect the booking, faces generally win on the house show circuit to send the crowd home happy.

Interesting, thanks for the info. I hope it does take off. I think it would do wrestling some good to get back to having guys who are the bodybuilders but can go all night in a ring.

The I-C title was created out of the "unification" of the North and South American titles. Hence the name. So, it should, by definition, be above the US title and, at a minimum, be on par with the Euro title if it comes back.

The NWA had so great battle with the TV champ and the US champ. That is where I think the US and Euro belts could shine.

I'd be intrigued to see how they would play that game. It seems like it would be very simple to play the straight-edge v. beer-guzzler theme, but I would sincerely hope that wouldn't be the angle.

Don't like that new belt either.

I always thought it odd that they let the champions hang onto the belts, instead of treating it like a traveling prop. But they do it for promotional purposes I suppose. Still, would've quelched the paranoia of the current champion leaving and doing something to degrade the belt in another promotion, like with Medusa or Bret Hart.

Interesting to note that Christian will be appearing at TNA Slammiversary this weekend. Very odd and almost surreal. They're prolly inducting him into their hall of fame, and its prolly WWE returning the favor for TNA allowing Flair to appear at the WWE hall of fame.
