Question though, is HHH finally, FINALLY, realizing his role as a wrestler and this is a set up to push the SHIELD even further?

I read this today...

The key objective in WWE doing a feud between The Shield and the reunited Evolution faction is apparently to establish Roman Reigns as a top singles competitor and get him into a match with Triple H.

As previously reported, the original idea is for the rumored HHH vs. Reigns bout to take place at SummerSlam, although there is a possibility that it won’t happen until Hell In A Cell or Survivor Series, depending on how long the story between the two plays out.

Good for HHH.

Also, I give credit when it's due. I still think Ambrose needs work on basic stuff in the ring, but he's gold on the mic. Can you imagine if we could combine Ambrose's mic work and Rollins ring work?

Supposedly they're gonna eventually be a heel tag team, they will be great together.

Could be good. I guess they'll just throw the US Title away when that starts huh?

On another note, I just read (on Wiki, so umm, yea) that per Stephanie McMahon Undertaker and Kane still have permission to use the Tombstone Piledriver. No one else on the roster does.

Hopefully they unify the US Title and the IC Title. I guess WWE trusts those 2 with the move enough that they still allow them to do it. I was watching old footage on WWEN and Owen Hart hurt a few people with botched piledrivers.

I wouldn't want the IC and US unified. Unify the Heavyweight/WWE belts, ie just make one belt and then have the US and IC belts be what the up and comers go after. Sounds so simple to me, but WWE would rather have everyone go for the Heavyweight championship. Keeping the belt separated and making them important would eliminate the mess of trying to create storylines for anyone not fighting for the Heavyweight belt.

IIRC HHH hand picked Shield and the Wyatts, his only two real huge successes before, so it's only fitting that he pushes them further for business.

To be fair, I still think Seth Rollins is the best combination of the two. He does things Kofi Kingston can't do. Any one of those guys could be a top wrestler with a little work.

Same with the Wyatts. Bray could easily hold a title, though him not having one just furthers the proof of his character really. And the Bearded Brothers could easily be tag team champs.

I agree with this too, but if nobody is gonna fight for the US Title, do away with it. The new NXT guys should go for that one though, the next tier go for IC. Some of the best rivalries back in the 90's were for it. First ever ladder match was for it. But I do like this tournament and hope it's building it back up.

Warrior and the Honky Tonk Man are two of the most famous wrestlers ever and they were IC constants. The fact that creative can't make stories for the other belts interesting is pathetic.

When Warrior won the IC from Honky Tonk, the crown went ape****. Imagine if Bryan or Punk won the IC Title today, the crowd probably couldn't care less. You're right, its all about the big belt, none of the others matter. I like that they have revamped the tag division, although Rybaxle is a terrible idea, imo.

They probably knew he was gonna say Brock is his client 25 times again like he did Friday and they figure they could fit a commercial break in there.

There were so many greats that held the IC. Guys like Piper, Hennig, Hart, HBK. Back then it was as prestigious as the WWE title is now.

Yep, they would never waste an idea like the ladder match for the IC Title now. Or IC Title vs WWE Title like Warrior vs Hogan.

Big E vs Randy Orton at WM 30 would be laughable.

I'll say kudos to them on Axel's "Better Than Perfect" shirt. I still think it's too bad that they don't play that up more.

shocking...a clothesline, 2 shoulder tackles, a fist drop, and a finisher to a guy who hadn't been weakened at all by a guy who had been beaten up horrifically
