Good entertainment.........seriously Taker is getting too old for this......prolly told them to get a huge dude to end his streak if they wanted to end it before he retired.

Overall that was a great show and they did it right. I can't fault them for Taker/Lesnar, cause it was obviously Taker's call.

I thought the show was great. Matches were all good. I'm glad Taker lost. Took away from the predictability of every other card. A big "wtf" moment for sure. Probably the biggest ever in WWE. But you know that asked Taker and he wanted Lesnar to end it. Wouldn't be surprised if he announces retirement tomorrow night on Raw.

I think stephanie actually twisted her ankle there, just like orton cut his back pretty bad on that tv monitor.

I would have preferred a full timer to beat the streak.

If Lesnar, then a better build up would have helped. Creative disappointed.

However.......the last eight months with Bryan (other than the Wyatt thing with him) was perfect and the triple threat match was great.

Saw some non legit rumors that the Streak wasn't supposed to be broken and that it was a mistake. Out of curiosity, I went back and saw the end of it. A couple things caught my eye:

1) It wasn't a fast count but that count was quicker than usual.

2) As soon as the count hit three, Taker gives a half hearted kickout attempt.

3) The reactions of everyone involved and everything was delayed. They didn't announce Lesnar as winner for a couple minutes. Lesnar's music took FOREVER. Heyman took forever to get to Brock. The 21-1 thing took awhile. Taker had a confused look on his face. Lesnar had a weird look. They didn't play Taker's music till he was halfway on the ramp. Taker gave no reaction to the fans. The announcers were fumbling lines and said nothing after the three count.

I am not saying it was a botch. I incredibly doubt it was. But the whole setup was really weird.

They didn't even ring the bell after the 3 count did they? It was like everyone was looking around for something to happen.

Edit: Ref immediately called for the bell and it was rung immediately.

I think Taker was legit hurt too. He really struggled to get up. I don't understand if he wasn't why you sell as if he is.

What I think happened.

Taker was originally supposed to win when this was officially booked five weeks ago. He starts to train, realizes he has nothing left (he looked awful tonight), says this is last hoorah, and WWE couldn't change the match. Unlike a title match (like this year's main event), you can't just add someone after the fact. They had to wing it.

I can't imagine that Taker thought this out six months ago and wanted a part timer to end it.

I said as soon as the match ended to my brother " I don't think that was supposed to happen ". Maybe the result was the initial intention, but the way no one really reacted, the music didn't hit, the announcers fumbled around, it was just odd. I hope Taker is ok and respect the hell out of him. I don't doubt Lesnar going over was the plan, but it just felt weird to me.

I don't think that was unplanned, a screwjob, or anything like that.

I think its possible they kept the finish between the fewest people possible. Taker's supposedly wanted it over for years. Do I like they gave it to Brock? Not really, but who knows the motivation.

They achieved a true swerve in an era where almost NOTHING is a surprise.

Only thing I'm pissed about from that show? I spent my WM trip on that Atlanta crap heap a couple years back. Fantastic show.

If this isn't a major push for Brock to go full time and take the belt at Summerslam, then all the Punk bashers can eat crow. If Brock stays part time, gets no major airtime on Raw/SD and basically stays as meaningless as he has been in this part time stint, it's no wonder Punk walked. He got walked over by Batista and now Lesnar.

I think a full on Lesnar push would be epic though.

Yes. I want Lesnar to be full time now.

I can imagine setting up the Brock/Bryan feud going into SummerSlam. Maybe Bryan gets to retain there but by Survivor Series or RR at the latest, Brock wins the belt and carries it into WM 31 where he puts some new face over.

I really think last night was the beginning of the end for Cena even though he won. He might even get another title reign, but now his bad "monster" side can show and they can replace him at the top as far as faces go.
