I don't expect it to be full commitment. My guess is that he'll be back to face within 4 months. Probably turning on them at Wrestlemania and costing the Family their match.

It is interesting none the less. Gives DB a chance to branch out.

Seems like a way to get the Undertaker involved to me. Ultimately though they are either setting up a feud with the Shield or maybe they are setting up Bryan to come back as a face at a major event that ultimately results in him finally earning the title.

What blows is it appears that the brass doesn't believe in Orton enough to carry the brand so they set it up so Cena can win the title at the Rumble and carry it into WM.

If Lesnar/Batista isn't a WM match, then I expect one of them to be facing Taker

It's less about Bryan and more about Bray Wyatt. They're going to use DB to make Wyatt a star, a rare instance of smart booking for this company these days. I would expect Bryan to turn face post-Mania, in any case. It's a short-term flip.

Matches I see at the top of the card at Mania:

Batista/Orton (title?)
Cena/Lesnar (title?)
Taker/Bryan
Punk/HHH

The one wrench might be deciding to go with Taker/Lesnar, in which case I think the only logical thing would be to slot Punk and Bryan together in that fourth match. Not sure how they get there storyline wise, though. Also not sure where that leaves Cena, but his place at the top of the card obviously is set in concrete no matter what direction they take.

This is so true. Even when he doesn't have a belt on the line, he's the headliner.

I have a question for you guys that are in the know of all things WWE. I must have missed the part about Sheamus missing in action now for a while. Is he out doing movies? I've noticed he's been gone for months now & I was wondering what has happened to him.

I think he had surgery. I'm thinking he will return at the rumble.

I swear, Road Dogg Jesse James is still great with a mic. Put him on a mic all the time.

I've often tried to see guys that could use a mouthpiece, because Road Dogg would be perfect as one, and could keep it up for years. Just not sure who he'd fit with.

(Met him at Gladys Knight's in Atlanta before WM27. Really cool guy.)

Definitely. He just has a delivery that never gets old

I was thinking that whenever Jerry Lawler has had enough of all the traveling that's involved to make those Monday Raw matches Road Dogg Jesse James wouldn't be a bad choice for replacement. He'd be a lot better than JBL imo.

I miss this kind of crowd during the NAO's promo

I especially love the old lady going right along with it at 3:46

I grew up on the Attitude era stuff, so I would love for Road Dogg to get in on some announcing, even if it meant we got Billy Gun with em haha

Really glad they have Daniel Bryan with the wyatt's, maybe we can get him a real finisher now.

To me, one of the most believably painful finishers I remember was Low-Ki/Kaval's Warrior's Way. That just looked so incredibly painful every time I saw it.

That was one I'm fairly sure there wasn't a lot of selling involved.

Has Danielson used the Cattle Mutilation in WWE? It all runs together for me.

I realize why they limit guys on their 'finishers' but that was the hardest thing about picking WWE back up after watching ROH for years. Many are just....dumb. Silly, even.

Anybody catch the WWE Network announcement? Sounds like it will be an app/site similar to Netflix with every old WCW/ECW/WWE ppv since 1985, will also have current live ppvs. It will be $9.99 a month and starts Feb. 24th. I only caught part of the announcement so i don't know if i got all that right or not.

You did. Also $60 startup fee. Not sure why they don't have PPV pre-95 tho. Once upon a time I would've been all over this, but the current product has killed my interest beyond that.

Thanks. I meant 1985 though, i think lol? Anyways, i think i like the idea except i didn't hear about the $60 fee, that sucks.

I hope it is 85. Lots of great stuff before 95.

You still save tons of money, considering one WWE PPV is like $60. Highly tempting, even for somebody like me.
