if they are running a scan, it sounds like they are looking for signs of an event, like a stroke.

Unfortunately, I know too much about that entire process. Hopefully, it was a fluke seizure of some sort.

Speaking professionally if he went into full arrest, normally he'd be screwed. Honestly I doubt more that 5% of the people we get calls on at work in FULL ARREST make it beyond a few days if they do get them back. Luckily for him I'm sure they have a full medical staff there about ready for anything right there immediately. If they were able to push drugs and get him on electronics quick it will help a LOT.

Early Defibrilation and early CPR are the keys, the defib in particular. By accounts and descriptions, (slumped over, convulsed, carried out, blue in the face, etc.) it sounds like he went into cardiac arrest as convulsions can occur with that. They obviously got him back at some point, via only CPR or perhaps defibrilation as well, so now they'll do lots of tests to see if there is any lasting damage to the brain, heart, and other organs.

Lawler's GF has posted an update.

"Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It has been confirmed that Jerry did have a heart attack…he is in stable condition and breathing on his own & heart is stable. I'm getting on the first flight out of here to be with him & will keep everyone posted. He is a strong man and we will get him back at his best as soon as I can get him home! I love you so so much baby!!"

Several reports now that Jerry was clinically dead for a few minutes and was brought back by defib.

Latest report is that he will undergo surgery to have stents put in place once he is physically able to have surgery.

Lawler's Son Brian Christopher just tweeted:

"The CT scan of my dad's brain came back good! With his brain not receiving oxygen for as long as it did there was a chance he could have had brain damage. I truly believe everyone's prayers are working and the Lord is holding him in the palm of his hand. Today is another day, so how about another prayer for "the King"."

Sounds like good news!
