I think it's time to bring back the European and Hardcore belts. The lack of mid-card belts makes storylines bland, in my opinion.

I agree! I don't get why they don't use the mid card belts like they used to either. Like the IC belt. Put someone with that belt that can make a run for the championship.

I was thinking they would use MITB to get Rhodes into a world title picture.

I think I remember reading they scratched the MITB match from WM28 because Wade Barrett was gonna win and he got injured, I dont know if they are gonna keep that storyline or not

I am sorry but if Rhodes is going to be in it for the title then the only way that is happening is daddy's pull behind the scene. IMO

I don't disagree with you about whether Rhodes should be the champ. But, he's been booked liked a future world champion since the breakup of Legacy. It seems like every wrestling blog has him winning a world title in the near future. My post about him winning MITB had to do with how they've been booking him.

Did you forget that MITB is now its own PPV? They didn't have MITB at WM27 either.

And where is Mark Henry now?? I know hes injured but he was back to being a sideshow before his injury

I was just comparing Show's current booking to the build-up they gave Henry in 2011. I don't know where Show will be in 2013, but he'll probably be about where he was before his latest turn.

Henry turned heel last year and started destroying everything in his path, including Randy Orton, on his way to holding the Smackdown world title for months. I don't expect Show to get crushed by Super Cena in the cage, because it would destroy his current momentum and make his heel turn pointless, other than to set up just one PPV match.

I know Henry was dominting for a few months but didnt he move back down in the food chain before his injury? Im asking cuz I dont really watch smackdown

After Daniel Bryan became champion, Henry dropped more than one match on TV to Big Show, and Show then became I-C Champ for a month. So, yeah, Henry was dominant and held the title for a while and then moved back down the card.

They were gonna have it this year but it got pulled from the card

MITB would add a lot to any WM, but it would also take away from the MITB PPV. When MITB was part of WM, it usually involved a lot of guys trying to get their first big break. That's still somewhat true with the MITB PPV, but those matches now include main-eventers. I think they should consider a MITB at WM that is for a midcard title shot. But, for it to work, they'd have to stop dumping on the midcard titles by having the champions regularly lose non-title matches on TV.

In a somewhat related note, if the Brand Extension is now dead, there's really no point in having separate champions for each TV show. But, lately, the World Heavyweight Title, to me, has been booked as a midcard title, and the US and I-C belts have often been booked as bottom-of-the-card titles. That makes two consecutive years that the WH Title has opened WM. Meanwhile, nobody really cares about the "midcard" titles, because of how they're booked.

60 days, ouch. One more strike and he's out. Of course they'll do everything in their power to make sure he doesn't get a third strike, even if its lie.

Can't say I'll miss him.

He hung around just long enough to be the latest face to do something to bury The Miz before getting suspended.

I don't know how to react to the Wellness suspensions, because while the bodies have gotten smaller over the past 20+ years, I still find it hard to believe that a sizable % of the roster doesn't either uses roids, or used them at some point to help themselves along the way.

Randy's had an incident back in 2006 involving weed. I'd lean torward either pills or weed causing this suspension.

Gotta be pain pills, if I remember correctly he was rushed back from a pretty bad injury a couple months ago

I think he had a concussion that he came back quick from. I very easily could be wrong but I was thinking that was what it was. Maybe he thought it was 2006 all over again.
