trips needs the beard back. he doesnt look near as badass when he's clean cut.

beard and sledgehammer ftw.

Ok, I'm confused. I can see by reading a few pages of this thread that everyone on here knows it's fake. What's the attraction?

Also, in no way am I trying to be a jerk. I do a ton of things that others my find pointless.

I was just asking because I personally don't get it.

You watch movies?

You know the people in them are acting, right?

I see you're movies point. I just feel wrestling died when WCW died. The wrestlers had style and seemed more than just another guy down at the local gym.

Superfly, Andre, Sting (before he went all Crow) Lex Luger, The animal, Miss Elizabeth, Macho Man, Hulk Hogan ... they were entertaining.

The new wrestlers are just big ... but no style. That and the plots are dumb.

I'm hoping for a heel HHH, but he & Orton don't seem to have very good matches.

HHH will most likely go after that Sheamus fella I think.

So how do you know so much about the old school wrestlers if you don't get the attraction?

I loved wrestling when I was a kid. I'm 34 now though. Not so much love anymore.

I'm not saying it's because I grew up though. I'm still a huge Scooby Doo fan and still get excited when I take my son toy shopping and I see a new GI Joe.

I just think wrestling is bland now.

Is it as good as it used to be, in your opinion?

Its not as good as it was 10 to 13 years ago. If you think wrestling is bland now compared to when you were a kid, you're about 10 to 13 years too late to see it when it was arguably at its height. When WCW was battling with WWE for ratings, and the Rock, Austin, and Degeneration X were in their prime.

Is it as good as when I was a kid? Hard to say. The characters aren't as colorful, but more realistic. The stories are better, but thats not saying much. There really weren't any storylines or plots when I was a kid. It was usually just a bunch of promos and matches. Are the matches better? That's hard to say too. Wrestling seems to be more about spots now for the most part, rather than long matches that tell good stories.

I quit watching when the Rock left. I did like Stone cold alot. I also liked Goldberg. maybe it's more the wrestlers I dont like than wrestling itself. I miss how they all looked different. Ricky Steamboat dragon and all of em. I even loved the cartoon ... heck, I still watch the cartoon on youtube sometimes. WWE needs a Coco B-ware.

Sure. Just look at how successful those Jarrett and Harris Brothers segments were 10 years ago. I think he's recaptured that magic with Gunner and Murphy.
I honestly think they put a bunch of mismatched gimmicks in a hat and pick them out 30 minutes before taping. Jim Hurd booked better stuff than this silliness.

Its almost a slap in the face to everybody who actually has retired. At least when Flair did it, he really thought he was retiring.

Hes actually retiring??

Nah. The last bit with Barrett should be a giveaway that its just another angle.
