WWE Thread III

Perhaps whomever holds a belt will be on both shows? Maybe won't rassle on both shows each week, may not even appear on both shows each week, but will have a presence in both places.

This is what I'm thinking should be done and could work. This past Monday Roman was only on screen for the opening segment where his match with Seth was made.

Keep Cena, Reigns, Tyler Breeze and The New Day on Raw, and I'll have a good show to watch on Tuesdays.

Instead of rooting for one show to be great,

I wouldn't be surprised to see Shane as SD GM and SD become a smarky type show with Styles/Owens/Zayn as the headliners.

This interests me.

They'll have to do something to separate and differentiate them...otherwise 4 or 5 hours of the same programming over two consecutive nights every single week is a recipe for disaster and burning everybody out.

I haven't watched Smackdown in probably 4-5 years and I'm averaging one Raw a month.

I'll take one really good wrestling show a week. If it end up being two, then I'll tune in.

If they write SD like they do Raw, where they have ~20 total minutes of wrestling on a 2 hour show, with similar Raw "format"...then it's going to be five hours of hell every week.

* I am optimistic, believe it or not, about this split and it was one of my hopes from the jump when Shane returned to TV. If he (or whoever else) can be allowed to do half the job Heyman did, then it will be the boost the company needs.

Lol. And if WWE had a clue it'd be Rollins and Cena as top dogs. Roman is not the level of a Cena. They are borderline delusional. But.

This having one big name face thing has been outdated since the early 90s. Have multiple big names. Your most successful time had that with Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker, HHH. Stop trying to have a "the guy". And if you have to have a " the guy" pick someone that people like and someone and don't make them stale. People liked Cena, made him stale. People never liked Roman and you just straight up ignored them.

And when I say people I mean the majority of course.

Charlotte is so overrated. I know a lot of y'all think she can go in the ring, but she continues to mess up setting up moves.

and as much as I like Nattie, it takes her way too long to set up the sharpshooter

If they decide on two titles here's an idea for a big SummerSlam match for Smackdown. What if, on Smackdown after the draft there is a tournament to crown the champion for that show. The finals at Battleground are AJ vs John Cena. AJ finally proves how Phenomenal he is and beats Cena.

The next Tuesday he's celebrating his first title in WWE. They've given him a replica (I'll get to that in a minute) of the big gold WHC belt. Then he is interrupted by the last person to have ownership of the WHC belt and he's carrying the original. That man's advocate then begins to speak. He says his client is the true WHC because he has the original belt. His client never lost that belt and Brock Lesnar is the end all be all of the WWE. Now we have a SunmerSlam co-main event for the WHC AJ vs Brock.

I like this

What does GA think of AJ? Is he in the Daniel Bryan mode where GA just can't buy him as a heavyweight contender?

To me, AJ is like Seth Rollins or Chris Jericho. You know they're probably 5'10" 205ish, but you forget as soon as they start working. I never had a huge problem with Bryan other than getting past the visual of him constantly being 5 inches shorter and 50 lbs lighter than everybody.

Just for fun, let's pretend that we are in charge of the draft. If you had to create rosters that would make both Raw and Smackdown really good, how would you do it? Who would go on which show and why?

I don't know how you break up the tag team division or the women's division. It's the one flaw I see in this plan

I like the idea of smarking it up though

Reigns
Rollins
Cena
ADR
Sheamus
Bray Wyatt
Neville
Orton
Lesnar

SD:
AJ
Ziggler
Cesaro
KO
Zayn
Rusev
Miz
Ambrose
Corbin

I guess put the tag team division on Raw, Women on SD. And I would be happy to just watch SD
