WWE Thread III

I know this is still a long ways away, but who do you think will win MITB this year?

I'd say Ambrose. If Rollins is on track to be back by SumnerSlam the. They will probably used Ambrose's MITB to set up the Shield triple threat for the title.

now that he's used the line for a second consecutive week, I'm already super over it

I think it's a great line. Reminds me of Bret Hart's "Best there is. Best there was. Best there ever will be." You could actually hear people in the crowd singing along a little bit. That's a huge step for Reigns.

I think you're going to be disappointed. His line is going to stick for awhile. He's not a good guy, he's not a bad guy. he's the guy. This gray area Reigns is going to last through at least the summer imo.

I still think it's a slow heel turn, but even if he stays in the grey, that's still better than how he was being booked.

Felt too forced to me. Like it doesn't come naturally to him to say it. And the line itself is basically saying "I have no character, I'm just the person the boss likes more than everyone else"

Everything he says is going to sound that way

He's awful on the mic for sure. But I could see a future in shortening it and being just THE Guy. It's not Austin 3:16, but it's a step in the right direction.

IMO, I liked the line the first time, but I can see that getting old quick if he keeps repeating it the same way.

Exactly, it was a great line to say once to start a slight character transition. You say that, then you go out and start acting not-quite-good, not-quite-bad.

Like...once you've told me who you are, you don't need to tell me again. I got it. We all heard you the first time.

Gotta have that catch phrase for T-shirts. Believe Dat.

I like Kalisto and I don't mind him having the US title, but it is time for him to get involved in a meaningful feud so the US title can start becoming important again.

I was just thinking the same. Though, I could see Corbin winning it from him soon.

And RIP Balls. 44 years old is too young for anyone to pass

Bray Wyatt apparently hurt his calf when he "slid" wrong coming backing away from Reigns in a match in Milan.

The description of it makes me think he tore his calf, but I might be jumping the gun. I tore mine last year and it's a b**ch

I've joked about this before, but seriously...WWE and Butch Jones both need to get some things figured out about all these freaking injuries.

To be fair to Butch, a lot of the current injuries occurred before spring practice. Also, all of those players will be back before the upcoming season.

The unfortunate thing for WWE is that they don't have an off-season.

The upside for WWE fans is that we may get to see a lot of new faces who might not have had an opportunity without holes all over the roster.

"Holla if Ya Hear Me!"

Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner now owns a Shoney's!

Shoney's Draws Big Crowd at Acworth Grand Opening

Shoney's Draws Big Crowd at Acworth Grand Opening
Big Poppa Pump himself, Scott Steiner, is the new restaurant's owner.

ACWORTH, GA -- With its Acworth grand opening slated for 3 pm, fans of Shoney’s – and perhaps a few professional wrestling fans – were lined up around the building an hour beforehand.

They were there for an interesting combination: free Hot Fudge Cake and autographs. Scott Steiner, former WCW Heavyweight Champion of the World (aka Big Poppa Pump) and his wife Christa, both Acworth residents who stay busy in the community, celebrated the grand opening of their new Shoney’s on Tuesday, April 12.

Steiner invited several wrestling friends including Hall-of-Famers Kevin Nash and Scott Hall to treat fans to autographs. CEO and chairman of the iconic All-American brand, David Davoudpour, was also on hand for the festivities, which included free slices of the brand’s favorite dessert: Hot Fudge Cake.

Acworth mayor Tommy Allegood welcomed the Shoney’s family to the area and gave keys to the city to several members of the Shoney’s team, including Davoudpour and the Steiners.

The restaurant itself doesn’t look anything like previous Shoney’s. It has a full buffet and a full menu serving an array of items freshly prepared in-house. It even features a full bar with draft beer, a wine selection and various alcoholic beverages.

“We are so excited to have Shoney’s back in Acworth,” said Allegood, who participated in the official ribbon cutting ceremony. “It is an exciting day, we are happy for Shoney’s, the Steiners and city of Acworth’s residents who are lined up here today to see the future of Shoney’s.”

I thought Smackdown was pretty good last night!

I also DVRed Cena's new reality show and thought it was pretty good as well. If it didn't have the military aspect of it though I probably wouldn't watch it.

I've been thinking a bit about the Bullet Clubs appearance on RAW. More importantly, who'll they will likely align with. Is it gonna be AJ? Will Balor debut later? I think either will be good and get a good reaction from a PPV crowd.

I had a thought based on what their appearance reminded me of to a degree. The Outsiders in WCW. The story could even go down similarly all the way down to the "who's the third man?" scenario. And this time the third man would be someone else who has grown stale.............John Cena. Then we have a heel Cena using Gallows and Anderson to cheat and win his record tying 16th world championship.

I don't even think I really like this story, but I thought I'd gauge y'alls interest in this. It would definitely be unexpected aligning them with Cena.
