Very lame finisher. Shouldn't even be as effective as a traditional pump handle slam.

With Takeover on the books, here are my predictions for Summerslam:

-Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton

Winner: Lesnar. I think this will be a really good match. While I think that Brock should have been suspended for his failed drug tests, I don't think he should lose and not give the rub to a younger guy. It'll be interesting to see if the rumors of Goldberg being involved are true.

WWE Universal Championship
-Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

Winner: Rollins. This is one of the harder matches to pick, as I wouldn't be surprised with either result. I just think that they are going to have Balor chase the title for a little bit. I definitely won't complain if Balor does end up winning. I think this will definitely be a MOTN candidate.

WWE Championship
-Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Winner: Ambrose. I'm sure this will be a pretty good match, but I don't think Ziggler right now would be a credible champion at this time. They need to turn him heel and build him back up. Not sure if Wyatt will make an appearance, but it would be cool if he did.

WWE Women’s Championship
-Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte
Dana Brooke is banned from ringside.

Winner: Sasha. This match is too easy to call. There's no way they are taking the title off of Sasha so soon. Not sure if this match will top the match on the first Raw of the brand split, but I'm sure it will be a good match.

WWE United States Championship
-Rusev (c) vs. Roman Reigns

Winner: Rusev retains. I hate that they gave this match for free on Raw 6 days before the ppv, but I still think this will be a solid match. This looks like it's going to be more than a one-off feud.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
-The Miz (c) vs. Apollo Crews

Winner: Miz retains. There's been little to no build in this feud. Combine that with the fact that Apollo still needs some work (especially on his character), and I don't see a title change here.

-John Cena vs. AJ Styles

Winner: AJ. Another MOTN candidate here. Cena is going to be on a hiatus soon, and it's time for Styles to go over in a feud and potentially move into the WHC title picture.

WWE Tag Team Championship
-The New Day (c) vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

Winner: The Club. New Day has had a great run with the titles, but I believe it's time to put the belts on the Club and see how they do with the titles. I'm interested in seeing if Big E is going to make an appearance.

-Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens:

Winner: Enzo and Cass. These 2 teams are very entertaining, and this will be a good match. I think that KO is going to walk out of the match, with Y2J eating the pin.

Best of 7 Series Opening match
-Sheamus vs. Cesaro

Winner: Sheamus. I sure hope there is a title opportunity waiting for the winner of this series. Otherwise, I'm just not into this.

-Natalya, Alexa Bliss & TBD vs. Carmella, Naomi & Becky Lynch

Winner: The faces. Not sure who will be the 3rd person for the heels, but I really have no interest in the match.

Kickfoff Show Match:
-Sami Zayn & Neville vs. The Dudley Boyz

Winner: Zayn and Neville. I believe this will be the match where the Dudleys finally split.

Kickfoff Show Match:
-The Usos, American Alpha & The Hype Bros. vs. Breezango, The Ascension & The Vaudevillians

Winner:

The faces. This could be a decent match.

NXT was brilliant top to bottom, no match was really "bad."

My buddy and I who watch this agree that Almas is the Apollo Cruise of NXT currently, great wrestler with tons of upside and in ring ability but no character or chance to be great. Tonight they gave him a chance in the ring, and he mostly out wrestled Roode. But, Roode is GLORIOUS, and could not have lost to anyone tonight.

They let Ember Moon (RIP Athena, though she still wears the outfit) actually have a decent match instead of letting her get an easy finish. There aren't many people on the roster, male or female, that can hit her finisher like she does. It's worth watching just for that.

Bayley gets called up as soon as Summerslam, no question. And what I've seen online is Joe may have broke his jaw in this match and the X was legit. But we'll see in the coming days for sure.

Regardless, it was a great Takeover. Even the worst match was (Probably Aries vs Jose) still really good. And we just got more proof that NXT is as good, or better, that the main card in a lot of aspects. They aren't the minor leagues for wrestling anymore. I would take Asuka, Bayley, The Revival, Tamaso/Champa, Authors of Pain, Aries, Nakamura, Joe, Ty Dillinger, Jose, Roode, Almas, and all of the other divas vs RAW or Smackdown any day.

But, to be fair, Nakamura is the best wrestler on the planet right now, and his entrance is the best we've had in years. So what can you say.

I agree with everything except the Balor vs Rollins match. I think they go all the way in with Balor. Although, this is one of the biggest toss up matches for sure.

I've only been watching since the main show started so I might've missed this, but will the announce teams be switching based on which brand the match is from?

Not sure, the Smackdown crew did the 12 man tag match, i forgot who did the Cesaro match. I don't recall hearing how they'll do it.
