It wasn't as much that DB didn't win, it's that the Rumble was essentially over before it ever began because Reigns was the only real contender at the end. Anyone with a brain knew it wasn't going to be Cesaro, Ambrose, Rusev, lame Kane or Big Waste, I mean Big Show. It was like Ziggler and DB were being punished. They were both eliminated almost as soon as they got in the ring. It was horrific booking.

IMO that's not why they booed the rumble. They booed because they don't like being force fed. Same thing happened the year prior with Bautista. Reigns and Batista were the final two and had reigns won, it would've went over well with the fans. Instead, Batista got shoved down their throats and they booed him. A year later, reigns is force fed and the crowd booed him, the same guy that would've been cheered a year prior.

The problem is the WM #1 contender stipulation. The RR would be a neat event even without that.

At the time, we had no clue they were going to waste Ambrose like they have. He was feuding with Rollins shortly before and they were putting on great matches.

IMO, what WWE should have done is not bring DB back for the RR and not have Kane and Big Slow in the final 4 (there are other things, but these are the biggest to me). I think if those things had happened, there wouldn't have been as much backlash.

Not to mention the RR was in Philly. They boo Santa. How did nobody with the company think about that?

Prolly just about everbody in the company did realize that, except the man that counts the most. Vince was prolly in the back thinking "Yeah pal! We're gonna have Roman vs Lex Luger at 31 and its gonna set records! Why are they booing the Rock? He helped their hero out."

Steel Cage Match, RKO is Banned, and Kane will guard the cage.
-Seth Rollins (c) vs. Randy Orton: Seth wins, despite Kane trying to help Randy.

United States Championship
Russian Chain Match
-John Cena (c) vs. Rusev: Cena Wins, Lol.

Intercontinental Championship
-Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Bad News Barrett: This match won't happen due to DB's health. DB will probably be stripped of the belt on Raw and there will be a tournament to determine the new IC champ.

WWE Tag Team Championship
-Cesaro and Tyson Kidd vs. The New Day: Not much to say about this match. Cesaro/Kidd retain.

Last Man Standing Match
-Roman Reigns vs. Big Show: Roman wins.

Kiss Me Arse Match
-Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler: Sheamus wins. I'd be more invested in this match if the stipulation was different.

Chicago Street Fight
-Luke Harper vs. Dean Ambrose: Ambrose wins, and this is likely one of the better matches of the night.

WWE Divas Title
-Nikki Bella (c) vs Naomi: Naomi wins, because she is getting a big push as a heel.
