However just opinion wise, I don't Lesnar/Reigns ends the night. I think they go with HHH/Sting or Wyatt/Taker, especially if they put a career ending stip on the latter.

I've read somewhere that that was a slight concern. Can you imagine a Taker WM entrance in the daylight?

Yeah.

They had a couple of the early WM outside and Taker was in the light. Can't remember but it's the one versus Giant Gonzalez. They gave him a buzzard.

I get Reigns isn't there yet but he's not bad. He's more along than 2005 Cena. So I don't buy it's just Roman that fans don't like.

I enjoyed Bryan's run last year. But that was last year. I'm ready to see what they got this year.

Yeah I remember but that was early Taker, now Undertaker and the experience of his entrance are Wrestlemania. Compare it to Tennessee running onto the field at Neyland without the band or the T lol.

It'd be different. But maybe you can do something with it. I don't know.

I know it won't happen but I want them to really humanize Taker for this feud. Have Bray call him Mark. Say something about his wife Michelle. Stuff like that.

BTW, early reports are Casket Match between Taker and Wyatt.

Reigns is nowhere near 2005 Cena. 2005 Cena is on a completely different level. Cena at the time was really good on the mic and had great matches. And another point, size sometimes really doesn't matter in real life fights. I don't mind seeing smaller guys with larger ones.

What's the "IWC"? Fans who discuss the shows on internet sports forums? Fans who use the internet to watch via the WWE Network? Fans who use the internet to follow twitter that the company actively promotes and uses?

The "IWC" is always used as some derogatory stereotype for a niche of fans. Except that it isn't 1997 and there aren't 104 total people on a single irc chat talking about the inner workings and Indies. 90% of anyone who actively follows WWE watches or gets news from the internet.

It's like the term "Smark". How is a 'Mark'.....smart? The word originally was made to describe fans who believed in the kayfabe and inherently were ignorant of the business.

Just two things that irk me.

I like the casket match idea. There's not really a point or a place to have them anymore, so having one in Taker's (possibly) last match would be fitting and an end to both.

I refer to the IWC as hardcore fans that watch every show, have the network, etc

2005 Cena was not a good wrestler. He is now but back then he was really green

Fair enough. Triple H, on line TV, has liked to use that as some kind of barb.


On another note, Vince at 70 is still on more juice than my 2 year old nephew. Holy ****.

I think Cena's charisma definitely stands out but they are different guys too.

Also poor Reigns has been booked with Kane and Show a decent majority of the time.

The crowd is taking a beating on social media, some "news" outlets, etc.

Sting literally got a reaction that "The New Day" gets from an actual loud/active crowd on a random Monday night.

Luckily, he should get a decent pop at a Wrestlemania. I'm weird like that, all I could think of was here he is standing by the curtain, his music hits and....literally nothing.

That is true, I think another difference was Cena was way more over and fans wanted him. With Roman, fans would rather have a handful of other guys. They know Bryan, Ziggler, and Ambrose are more worthy of the spot. If WWE turns him heel though I can see it working, but WWE isn't going to make Reigns the next Cena right now.

Only way I could see this being a match that would be believable is if it had a stipulation like Submission Match. No other way does a Bryan win appear believable

Which 5 people from the last 5 years would've had the greatest chance of success from 1997-2002?

The ones that came to mind first, not ranked:

1. Lana (dead serious and not in ring)
2. Luke Harper (with different gimmick and stabled/paired with a talker, his style screams that era)
3. Antonio Cesaro (no yodeling, leg bands, or sirens, just "Claudio" doing his thing)
4. Seth Rollins (the hair would work, the **** attitude would work, and a fued with prime Kurt Angle....)
5. Page / Natalya (these two apart of a women's division that had depth and opportunity to show off their skills)

I watched an episode of Total Divas. Go ahead and make fun of me for it, lol, but it was an episode about Paige and Brie going out drinking together while on the European Tour. Paige is freakin' hilarious.

It's not all that bad of a show for what it is. My wife watches it, and it's gotten her interested in wrestling enough to the point that she watches the PPV's with me and the occasional RAW.

i havent watched wrestling in almost 30 y3ars. My dad used to get free tickets and we would go see them at charlotte coliseum etc..lots of wrestling in charlotte bacj then.
I recently saw the girls wrestle..they are hot..so did some serious reading in this thread. an outsider cant even understand what you guys are talking about though. Everything is about "heels" "heelturns" and about 10 different ways to use the word "over"..

What the hell are u guys talking about ...lolol

It wasn't a good crowd by any stretch but that show was dry as hell up until that point.

Orton got a decent pop but other than that....nothing.


And Sting's music.....WTF?

How could they get the commercial for 2k15 so right and completely blow his first actual entrance?
