It matters a lot, As a main eventer you have to be able to work a match and tell a story in the ring as your match is the main attraction. If it was the 1980's he would fine but now it is hard to that with just 2 or 3 moves. If he's in a match longer than 10 minutes he will more than likely get you can't wrestle chants.

The first half of your answer is dead on. Reigns would be stuck in the Indies if this were the '80s. He made it here solely in "The Look". No one cared about that in the '80s.

also, it's sad that clean main event finishes are a memory just like the actual pro wrestling that happened in the '80s.

Just a question for fun.

If you were in charge who would you book to win the Royal Rumble?


My first choice would be Daniel Bryan but unless they have been leading us on with the complications of his recovery and hes an surprise entrant thats gonna happen. So i'm going with Dolph Ziggler. He's over and has paid his dues, he is also one of the best workers and performers in the WWE. Plus i just like the whole David vs Goliath thing.

There isn't a better candidate to bring back the importance of the IC Belt than Ziggler. My question though: is this to face Cena or Lesnar at WM?

I wonder if they have a back up plan in case the guy booked to win is accidentally eliminated? For example: Lets say Romen Reigns is scheduled to win and he enters number 15 and lets say he goes over before the 25th entrant comes out, what do they do then?

Reigns would do something at the Fast Lane PPV to earn a three way spot. Would be weird if something crazy like that happened

Dolph got a promo! And it was pretty good! And perhaps they are creating a Ziggler - Rollins feud. I like it.

I feel like the guy who is booked to win is never put in one of those high risk spots where he might be put out by accident

Rollins goes into WM31 as the champ. You somehow get Ambrose involved and you give your future the main event.

Other than Reigns/Lesnar, Wyatt/Taker, and Sting/HHH, I have no idea where they would go for the other guys. You still have Ambrose, Rollins, Cena, Rusev, Orton, Ziggler, and potentially Bryan, and somehow semi-involved with each other throughout the year but not clear direction where they are going with them for WM31.

Already mentioned why the Cesaro/Rusev feud makes absolutely no sense, who is the heel in Barrett vs Ziggler? The crowd loves both too much to let either of them work a heel. Bad News would have to go away for Barrett to get to work as a heel again. Orton/Lesnar has potential and Cena/Bryan makes no sense whatsoever from a business standpoint.

Maybe Cesaro/Rusev doesn't work. But can't Cesaro use the "Maybe I wasn't born here but his is my home" kind of story he used in Real Americans to make it work. Plus.............who should get that win over Rusev? A guy like Bryan/Ambrose doesn't need it. You don't really have any NXT young face Americans right now. Cesaro needs to reestablish himself even if his ceiling is just upper mid card and a Rusev win would do that for him. Honestly, I would love to see Reigns/Rusev because Reigns can use another year, they have good chemistry, and you give him a big moment and legitimate pop for beating Rusev. That would help him get over with fans but that is never happening.

Barrett would be heel. After Ziggler wins a gruesome match at Fast Lane, you have Barrett come out afterwards. He shakes his hand then as Ziggler is about to pull away he gives him the bull hammer, "I'M AFRAID I"VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS!", talks about how he is the real champion and that Ziggler is an embarrassment to his crown and boom gives him some heat.

Here's why I think Bryan/Cena makes a ton of sense. One, they can put on a classic match. That would help there and even though maybe it's not great for business (especially since Cena can't go heel) you can pull of the story. Bryan can come out saying he's ready to fight and wants to beat the best in the world acccording to the WWE, Cena, to prove he is the best. Cena can use his clean loss at SS 13 and cut a promo on how that was the one that got away and he's never truly got over that match and wants to prove he can beat Bryan one on one in the ring. Now for business sense, here's where it can help. Cena's a safe worker so you give Bryan a guy that can help him ease back in the ring and you can give Bryan the win reestablishing himself as a big time player and Cena can put on a great match and still come off as the #1 guy in your company.

Sorry for all the fantasy booking, but I wanted to see that I wasn't just throwing **** on the wall, but there reasons for my ideas.

If Barrett says I've got some bad news, he gets little to no heat. He becomes Bray Wyatt, heel Rock, Austin, etc. A heel with a gimmick the fans love too much to give heat too.

The kids wouldn't go for Cena - Bryan and that's why it could maybe happen at Fast Lane or some other podunk PPV, but no way could it work at WrestleMania.

As for Rusev, I'm actually ok with Ryback hopefully doing it.
