I don't know, ive heard Rampage and Tito Ortiz say pro wrestling is more painful and grueling than MMA.
More grueling? Probably, given the number of dates wrestlers work. More painful? Doubtful. I know wrestlers get hurt alot, but it generally comes from screwing something up. In MMA, when they hit you, they really hit you. They don't stomp their boots to make it sound worse than it is. When they put you in a submission hold, they actually apply real pressure, not just enough to sell the move. Not trying to take away from what wrestlers put themselves through, but speaking on pure pain, I think MMA tops wrestling, probably by quite a margin(except for the rare total screw up of a move in wrestling).
Wrestlers take all those bumps almost every day. Those definitely take a toll on the body.
How much longer is Damien Sandow going to humiliate himself in his role as "Miz-dow"?
It's to the point where it's hard to take The Miz seriously.
Humiliate himself? He's killing it and single-handedly overcoming Vince's year long crusade of trying to bury him. The Miz is doing great as well in his role.
He'll turn face and fight Miz eventually, but it's a slow burn right now.
Mizdow is some of the best work of his career.
Serious question, how many have actually been in a fight and taken full on punches to the head and/or the body? That **** hurts like hell. Can you endure it? Of course, but that doesn't make it any less painful. I'd be really interested to know how many MMA fighters are taken to the hospital directly after a fight due to blunt force trauma? I know I've heard of more than one case where an MMA fighter died due to a brain bleed. Some of those fighters get severely fawked up as they inadequately protect themselves. I'm not saying wrestlers don't cripple themselves over time because they undoubtedly do, but the immediate damage and pain and trauma are far mor prevalent in MMA. It's two totally different types of fighting styles. If Brock went in to a wrestling match fighting like an MMA fighter, he'd hurt far more people than he already does. He could end careers.(okay, he may have already ened a few anyway with his overzealous style, but if he went full bore, he could end far more.) Wrestlers are tough bastards, but I seriously doubt many of them could take the beatings handed out in MMA. Now, that's jmo, and you can disagree all you want, but I stick by my assertions.
I don't think Punk would stand a chance against the Green Ranger. That guy is a very well rounded martial arts fighter.
