WWE Thread II

The word going around in WWE is that things may not exactly be done yet as far as the CM Punk issue is concerned.

Punk, whose WWE contract officially expired recently, noted during a recent interview that he will “never” return to WWE again.

While nothing is official at this point, there is at least some talk going around the company regarding a possible lawsuit against Punk for breach of contract.

There aren’t a lot of specific details regarding this story as of right now, however it is known that there are many people very high up in WWE who are less than pleased with how everything went down with Punk.

If and when any updates become available, we will be sure to post them here on the website.

Nonsense.

First of all, if you watch the video, its obvious he is joking. Right after that he jokes about now watching the internet and twitter now blowing up.

Second, WWE wouldn't be that stupid. With the money problems they're having and the budget cuts they're doing, they won't be spending money on frivolous lawsuits. Even if by some miracle they won a lawsuit, it would make Punk look like a martyr and make them look stupid. It would also expose their labor conditions, which they don't need the bad press right now.

That's my line of thinking.

Its really too bad there's not a legitimate competing promotion out there right now (I'm sorry, TNA doesn't cut it).

It would be the perfect set up for Punk to show up, cut a big shoot promo, etc...

So wonder what this is about?

WWE posted this on twitter!

Something is coming... Can you guess what?

Due to the failure of the network and their financial woes, it will be a TNA-ish brand relaunch. They've already got the new logo up and coming. It will probably accompany a set redesign and the new unified title.

But but, they claim that the network has a 90% satisfaction rating. :eek:lol:

I know I'm satisfied with it. I just wish they would add more raw and smackdown episodes from the attitude era.

I think I've only watched 2 old episodes. The one when nWo came out on WWE and Rock challenged Hogan and the Austin on the Zamboni one. I do plan to watch the Rock's "This is your life" episode.

Hmm, I just watched main event and I could have sword the main match was supposed to be Shaemus vs Rusev. Instead, Rusev fought Swagger. I really wanted to see him go up against the US champ.

Apparently, Sheamus had a severe case of the flu

Go find the Nitro episode when Hulk Hogan joined the NWO. Greatest heel turn and most heat from a live crowd ever. The amount of trash flying into the ring at Hogan, Hall and Nash is hilarious.

This would be the perfect segue for the return of Val Venis.

Hellooooo ladiessss.....

I have the Network and love it. Hell, it's become a monthly family event in my house. We all gather around the TV on Sunday night, grab some pizza, and watch it together.

The night after the Bash at the Beach?

Did y'all know that Sting was the backup plan if Hogan decided not to join them? I believe Hogan decided the day of the event. Would have been all 3 of my favorite wrestlers as the original 3 nWo members.

I almost laughed a few weeks ago after Rollins turned on The Shield and someone compared it to Hogan joining the NWO. It wasn't even close. Even as a young adult, knowing that wrasslin' was staged, that was a shocker. Hogan had been THE babyface for two separate companies for what, 15+ years?

Heel Cena would be the only close comparison, if it ever were to happen, and it would still pale in comparison to Hogan with the leg drop on the Macho Man at Bash at the Beach.

Yeah, I'm actually combining two events in my mind. The initial turn came at the PPV and a little trash got thrown, but the next night on Nitro the trash and beer hitting the ring were crazy.

That was the most shocking moment in wrestling that i can ever remember. 2nd has to be Taker losing at Wrestlemania.

For me it was Mankind getting thrown off the Hell in a Cell by Undertaker and later choke slammed through the roof. I thought he was dead twice.
