Bored at work and was doing some research on our latest recruiting classes versus WVU's. I constantly hear that this is the most talented team that WVU has ever had and that's why UT cant compete. Well, the last 3 classes (2016, 2017 & 2018) were ranked as the following:

UT - #14, #17, #22 nationally
WVU - #39. #57, #35 nationally

So, and this is obvious, I think it just comes down to Pruitt and his staff's ability to tap into the potential that these clearly talented guys have inside them. Two questions, what do you think is the key to success on 9/1 and how much will UT win by?

GBO.

I think the first few drives will set the tone. If we come out and give up a big play with this big time defensive minded coach, that's going to hurt us. It's Grier so he's going to throw it around. Giving up a field goal and seeing a stop or two in the first quarter will be huge.

21-17 Vols

Why wouldn’t you look at last four?
Getting the Butch out of these players will be the toughest task.
I noticed that a couple of the 2015 players had left for the NFL or left all together and didnt want to completely skew the results but I probably shouldve included it.

What I've been saying for weeks. Really don't understand all the love other than Will Grier for WVU.

This is why I rolled my eyes when @WVMULE was telling us how talented WV is. Them having a better record last year does not make them more talented. Better coached and more productive sure but outside of their passing attack, they really have nothing I would brag about.

To win the game, the Vols will have to get Grier on the ground and keep pressure on him.
Pruitt knows this better than anyone and will attempt to keep Grier under wraps and pressured.

The difference maker will be the qb. If Grier is the best qb in the country compared to our less than stellar qb rotation, it will be a long day for the Vols. If their qb is Heisman type, that's worth 10-14 points alone.

Won’t disagree...

Put Will Grier on our team we win easily. If our QB(whoever it is) steps up and has a good to great game we win if not Grier controls the game.

Y'all dont seem to understand that Will Grier is legit. He alone will be why WVU likely wins the game

you have to compare how they rate currently after X years being developed. Are they still a 5 star? or 4 star? or 3 star??

examples.

Drew Richmond is no higher than a 3 star player (that may be kind)

Dillon Bates is a 2 star player..

Go through both roster and compare production and rate them.. Only way to get a valid comparison...

All I want to hear is "Tennessee keeps running to the left side behind Trey Smith and West Virginia doesn't have an answer." Follwed by "First down Tennessee" and "Give him six!" If these comments are made during the game the Vols win literally running away.
