Hey guys,

I just wanted to wait a few days before I posted. I also wanted to re-watch the game again. I want to say Pruitt has an offensive line that's just not going to cut teeth against SEC Dlines. That is a recipe for disaster. We saw the same problems against a WVU defensive front that only used three down lineman. Its no time to say abandon ship. But I also saw something that made it very obvious to an outsider looking in. 5 star players with 5 star entitlements. A lot of kids are over exposed now as far down as middle school players. A lot of kids that are labeled 5 star don't want to be coached. They feel they have god given talent and thats enough.

The overwhelming truth is: they'll be no growth on this roster until those seeds are gone.

Good luck the rest of the year.

This oline has to be about the worst in the country. They are soft and don't know assignments. 1/2 the time they don't put a hat on anyone.

I was listening to a podcast and they said this coaching staff refers to the old staff as a bunch of pu**ies. This team doesn't have any heart. I hope Pruitt can change this culture, but this team is just weak.

I like Pruitt. I think (hope) he gets it done, but it's obvious this team is a bunch snowflakes. We need more Juaun Jennings type.

Trey Smith needs to step up his leadership. He should be whipping the rest of this line in shape. None of the guys know where to be or who to block. Jesus, put a hat on somebody

It really is sad. I long for the days of pancake blocks and huge holes.

I’m 62 - beginning to think I’ll never see an SEC champion caliber team again.

I'm with you. I'm 59. Watch video from the 80's and 90's and you see our O-line BLOWING huge holes in the defense.

Butch Jones recruited to fit his finesse system, Pruitt runs a hand in the dirt physical system. Things are going to get worse as the season progresses
Totally agree. They are running a pro-style offense with spread personnel. I can understand going in that dirt, but come on! You have to coach to win (at least try to win) with what you are given. Square peg, meet round hole. We will not win games for 2-3 years if we coach this way.

Nope. And that is OK. They need to make long term fixes. It took them since 2009 to break it and it will take a few years to fix it. Relax.

While we may not win as many now, if he continues to coach this way.....the team will be ready in a year or two. One of the past problems was coaching with players from another coach's recruiting. Time to bite the bullet and teach them the CJP way. The current staff all know what it takes to win. The players that are here now will either, be coached and learn, or ride the bench. Risk/reward deal. Personally, after the last 8-10 years, I hope he stays the course.

I am also 76. Do you remember the "Letter" alums received graphing the game about midweek after a game. (I know late 40' and to mid 50's) My dad would get them and I would pour over the graph remembering every play in my mind. Just wonder if any one else remembers those letters.

Thanks WVU fan. Sorry that you had to watch this shatfest. That can't make you feel any better about your guys, knowing you had a FCS team for your opener.

I don't know the numbers on the O Line for the year including the UF game. Before that game I saw the starting linemen graded out for the first 3 games and Drew Richmond was last and Trey Smith was next to last, two 5 Stars.

Hope your boys do well this season. Culturally our fanbases and regions share so much. Y'all are certainly are more culturally fit for the SEC than those Missouri Yanks

The truth is guys; stay the course, don't deviate. I know you all want instant results. But watching him chew ass was a good thing. A **** ton of those kids seemed entitled. Almost "We ran the other guy out, we can do the same". It wouldn't hurt to see some 3 star kids with a **** ton of work ethic come in and bench some of that 4 and 5 star talent.

I like the way he wants to line up and play football. Its big boy, work boots, hard work football.

He has a lot of finesse out there; and that's not a compliment.

When we played I was worried about physicality, and it was the opposite.

Trey Smith is getting his butt kicked on the plays when I specifically watch him. I don't understand what his problem is since everyone has praised him from last year. Maybe he is not at full strength yet from his health issues.

Youre right, he hasn't played as well as last year. Maybe he is a better guard than tackle. Maybe he isn't back from his health issues or maybe it's the new system. Either way, I hope he gets it together because he is by far our best lineman and we need him to be better.

That’s the last thing Pruitt should do

The hell you say! The spread personal they have running a spread system was 0-8 in the sec last year.
Pruit needs to run his system, let all the recruits know we r done with p###y football

We haven't had a component OL since 2013 when Butch inherited all those future draft picks who had been coached by Pitman. It doesn't matter who we plug in there, they all struggle. I'm at a loss.
