WV Usets #15 Duke

Me West Virginia got screwed.
It was halftime all there players did was come on the court

Well, that’s against the rules, but they should have ejected the Duke #3 player, as well as Wood, as she came up and body bumped the WV player from behind, then pushed her. WV had one starter eligible to play in the second half. It would have been a big win for WV, without the ejections, but with them, truly a great win for WV.

Know the rules only one or two west Virginia came on the court towards the pushing and shaving.
The ones who just got off the bench area possiblegetting ready to go the locker room or get a closer look but didn't go towards the pushing and shoving.
Should have given leeway just like some teams get on touch fouls.

Had time completely expired when the players left the bench? If so it seems unfair to get ejected for that since a bench player is not restricted (as far as I know) from entering the court space when it’s halftime or the end of the game.

Obviously the WV player who got taunted went way overboard in her reaction. Both she and the taunter and the one other player who pushed should have been tossed, but the rest of them?

I think NC St is going to be one of the top two teams in the ACC. They look better at least at this time in the season that NC, Duke, or Notre Dame.

They’re my pick to win it and I don’t actually think it’s very close.

I think we’ve already played 3 future conference champions.

I actually got a little sentimental watching the five remaining West Virginia players huddle in the fourth quarter as they encouraged each other and locked in to close out the game. It was really a impressive effort from them. Far easier to get rattled and disheartened.
I didn't get to see the game, but I know I would gotten a little lump in my throat for those Final Five if I had. Any time I see some kind of game or race or competition in which one person or team does something extraordinary, my heart strings get pulled HARD.

I’m watching it now, it is a little emotional. Mostly bench players, playing their heart out and sticking together.

Johnson didn’t play a minute in the first half but she played her heart out, got her hands on a lot of passes, played good defense and never turned the ball over.

Riviére was on fire in the third quarter. Was playing really inspired on both ends. 12 and 8 doesn’t sound like much, but it was the game of her lifetime and it was fun to watch!

Watched a highlights video--must have been edited by a Duky--but was still very inspiring.

It just shows how well people can execute when relieved of the fear of losing. No one expected them to win, so they were free to play to their potential.
