NITES WATCH: How Many Games Will West Virginia Win in 2018? - The Smoking Musket

Haven't posted in ages but didn't see this anywhere yet on site. Kinda made me giggle how they totally overlook the possibility of Chryst even playing. The Furrie fetish "guy" thinks Guarantano is starting his red shirt freshman year as apposed to starting his sophomore year. Either way 3rd freshman year....or not his take on the game is entertaining. What ya'll think?

JG will be a redshirt sophomore.....you’re correct that it’ll be his 3rd year in the program. I would mostly agree with the writer’s take that JG will be the starter, although there certainly is a chance that Chryst comes in and takes the job...not much of a chance, just still a chance imo.

This time of year, CFB fans all seem to believe in 10 or 11 wins for their team. WVU shows the same thoughts. Let us hope for a dose of WVU overconfidence.

Seems like they woulda done a bit more homework. They seem to have no idea what we will have on our team.

This is stupid. Their defense sucks, our offense has sucked. If our offense ends up on another level, we win this, no sweat.

Implying our defense WILL be better.

It’s May....NO ONE knows much at all about their respective teams....injuries, discipline, and a host of other issues can and will completely change the team...so all this stuff is “writers fill” till something substantial comes along. Having been married to a journalist for 41 years trust me...EVERYTHING is an article....or a book or two...and after all those years I can usually predict what’s going to make print...same with sports journalism....

I hope we come out like 2006 vs Cal. Stomped a mud hole in them. Knocked out their return guy on the opening kick off. West Virginia better come correct because I think Pruitt will have instilled a bust some heads attitude. At least I hope!

Our team will be so fired up that we will shock the world. We have a coach that knows how to motivate a team now. Pruitt beats this coach, and we move on. :clapping:

I think they may be a tad better, however if you combine your two post our defense and offense has to improve. We know they have a good offense and we know their defense inst very good. We have 2 unknowns, they have one....
