Breakdown: Wright is one of the most highly sought-after prospects in the nation, regardless of position, so it’s not a surprise to see many of college football’s heavy hitters jockeying for his attention. Ohio State is believed by many to be the early favorite for Wright, but schools like Alabama and Georgia are also hoping to get him on campus soon. Virginia Tech and Tennessee are viewed as dark horse contenders for Wright and his visit schedule for the spring could be telling as both try to stay near the top of his list.

the no. 1 ranked offensive tackle in the top247 in huntington (wv) high blue-chipper darnell wright has some visits in mind following his basketball season.

“i know he’s wanting to get back to tennessee with the new staff,” huntington coach billy seals said.

“i know he wants to visit miami as well as georgia and clemson. He wants to see those places. He’s expressed to me he’s close to narrowing it down to seven or eight schools.”

“i think he’s pretty wide open,” seals said.

247sports ranks the 6-foot-6, 290-pound wright as the country’s no. 9 prospect regardless of position. Besides the schools mentioned, wright has spoken highly of alabama, virginia tech and oklahoma in the past. He’s been to just about every school mentioned.

The next time Wright visits Tennessee will be his third time to campus.
He camped at Alabama. He's been to Clemson. Ohio State has done a great job recruiting him.

I like those four right now with Georgia obviously one in position to make a major move.

Lampley, Morris, and Wright would make one hell of a start to the OL recruitment for 2019. Mix in Crouch to run behind them for 3 years and lookout.
