WTH just happened unsportsmanlike on coach?

Late in the 2nd half CJH was way down the right side and on the field..The zebra quickly walked him back to the coaches box.
I thought he was going to get tossed out.
No one mentioned it.

If you go back and watch it he was pissed bc the ref was taking his time to set the ball…. Good for him to tell them that’s ********!

The guy (a linesman) was counting to 3 Mississippi before he would even leave the sideline to run in to assist in getting the ball set. Bet Coach pointed that out. I was double tickled when Joe zinged in that TD after that call... But the ref did his best to stall our drive.
.
On a similar front, early on, to those that were there, did we substitute every time they stood over the ball? You can't see that on TV, but it seemed like we were quickly over the ball and were held up even after they stalled spotting the ball.

I have to think it was his location. I told my wife when it happened they threw a flag on heaped. She said why and I said he's way way too far out of where he's supposed to be. He was about 5 yards into the field of play so he could yell at the lineman who was down around the 10 yard line. I don't remember where he was, but not quite to the 10.

Understood. However when have you ever seen this call? I guess it is made from time to time, but sure seemed to be done quickly. As to bowl game officials, over the years it seem to me that big 10 refs make more calls than any other. Sorta like "we will show you other people how it's done in the big 10."

Dammit!! Literally every deep ball is underthrown!! Turn your head and we would have multiple interceptions!!

When I watch the practice videos on this site the DB's are back peddling, then they turn and press the receiver always looking back at the QB. In the actual game they always have their back turned. Too slow I guess?

He was yelling but no more than any other coach. I think he was telling the refs to get it set and back away like they are supposed to.

I don't even remember the last time I've seen that called. Seen Nick Saban, red faced, spit flying at officials with no call.
Didn't you know the NCAA considers Saban spittle holy water?

Totally made up fun statistic……
8 out of 10 Big 10 officials are former hall monitors or HOA Presidents

Tony V has gone farther in his short time here in the post season than Rick has in all his years here.
Im thinking it's always good when we're talking about which winning coach is winning the most! All this winning....oh and BTW, we got a winner in the football department from what i heard from a friend.

The ref kid threw the flag like he was emotionally reacting to whatever CJH called him/said. That tells me all I need to know about the kid as good officials will talk to the coach, warn him and then toss the flag. An emotional call, which this appeared to be, indicated either a lack of experience or maturity; perhaps both.

A lot of the PIs were legit calls but the refs were far to present in the game. A good crew keeps the game flowing and calls penalties when they effect or could have effected the play. For a bit I felt like they couldn’t find their waistbands and flags kept falling on the ground.

Heupel needs to quit hanging out with Tony V. He needs some quality time on how to act like a professional with Rick Barnes. SMH!
Heupel needs to be Heupel. That was a BS call by the stripes, but it’s all good. We just took a big deuce on Clemson, the officials, and ESPN. GBDO!

Shockingly you didn't understand
Not really. I don’t know what you’re talking about so therefore I don’t understand. That’s not difficult to figure out. You could explain it.

Edit: Now I get it. Someone posted a pic showing it. See, that wasn’t hard. I didn’t see that graphic as I had dad duties to do while also watching the game.

I'd be curious to see our time to snap count in this game compared to our average to see if the refs truly did slow us down. Also curious about Clemson's illegal touching penalty that resulted in.....no penalty yards. It was obvious they had no clue whether that was a penalty or not and was trying to find out what to do.

Seemed like obvious bias against us all game but fortunately none of it mattered in the end.

All I know TN was called for holding several times and not one replay to show it. I wonder why? Because it wasn’t there. Clemson held several times and it was obvious when the QB(the one they never mentioned) was running for his life but never called. There was a definite bias for whatever reason.

How is a penalty called and no yardage assessed? I thought it was either a delay of game or unsportsmanlike conduct. Flag, lengthy discussion, dumbfounded look by the refs, penalty finally announced, no yardage assessed. Did I miss anything? I must have because I been watching football for a lot of years, and I've never seen a penalty called by the refs where the coach didn't have the option to accept or decline, that yardage wasn't walked off against the offending team.
