Right. Just pretend those names usually aren't right. When a lot of reporters are mentioning the same names there's a good chance that there is some truth there.

Because the people that were making all those decisions are no longer making those decisions. There is a totally different set of people doing that now and they seem to have the brains to make the right choices. They hired the top 4 AD in the country. Good first step

Remember in AD Danny Whites press conference when he said "At UCF, the fans and press had their list and if I listened to them I shouldn't have my job. And the names that were being floated around wasn't the one I actually hired." I don't think anybody knows who AD White is really going after

There’s also a good chance you’re jumping to hysterics. While I understand why based off of the past decade + I feel like you among a lot of others are jumping to conclusions without any legitimate information as of yet.

It's going to be fine. Chill out and don't worry about the lists out there. If you want to be mad when there's a hire, fine. Wait until there's a hire.

I can promise you this. If they "go cheap and get an unproven coordinator or a Google coach." then that means people said no to get them to this point. White is shooting for proven guys and has the money to go do it. Doesn't mean he'll get his man, but he's taking the right swings.

None of those guys made a decent hire in their career regarding football except maybe Currie. Hamilton was exclusively a career fund raiser. Hart was at Florida State and Bowden was the coach the entire time he was there. If you look at his ECU bio this is literally his most famous accomplishment there, "Hart was responsible for implementing the “Great Pirate Purple-Gold Pigskin Pigout Party."

Currie managed to land two coaches in his one search here before the coup happened. One was kinda forced on him in that he was told if Mullen didn't come, go get Schiano, which he did. Pulling Mike Leach in the middle of that crap hurricane was a miracle. His time at Kansas State, Snyder was the defecto AD when it came to football decisions and was there the whole time Currie was there.

Fulmer was a complete disaster with assistants and somehow was worse at hiring a head coach.

White on the other hand has hired 3 football coaches already and his basketball hires have no only not been fired, they have gotten P5 jobs.

It’s already been reported that the UT Admin is going to use Chris Lowe and Bruce Feldman for information regarding coaching searches. Don’t get worked up over fake news. Feldman has reported interest in Elliott, nobody else.

Same was said about Fulmer, Currie, Hart and etc. Yet, each one comes in and sticks is with a coach who usually ends up being worse than the previous hire.

It’s hard to believe that any of the guys mentioned are at the top of the list. I think it’s really quite with nobody having any connections to the new ad so everyone is just guessing. It feels different this time it but we’ll see. Definitely wouldn’t be excited about the coordinator from Clemson or either of the smaller school coaches mentioned.

Agree. Not many good P5 coaches switch to another P5. Mullen is one of the few.

Hiring a standing P5 coach that has multiple top-10 P5 finishes on the resume isn’t a thing. There’s been projection in nearly every P5 hire, or getting a guy not working.

The best programs:
Day- an assistant
Riley- assistant
Smart- assistant
Sark- assistant, and failed HC/damaged goods
Helton- assistant
Coach O- assistant lol
Harbaugh- out of work, alum
Dabo- assistant
Kelly- Big Least HC
Cristobal- FIU?
Frost- G5 for just two years
Norvell- G5



Mullen from MSU to Vandy
Franklin from Vandy to PSU
Jimbo from FSU to A$M
Taggert from Oregon to FSU lol
Mel Tucker from CU to MSU

So many of these posts illustrate the pure hunger of our fan base. It also shows the maniacal support the right coach can get here. Get the right coach, move the program in the right direction and the Big Orange will move mountains.

I don’t recall anyone ever saying that about any of them. I remember everyone complaining about the calls they were making. I could be wrong and will admit if I am. Someone with a better memory of those folks would have to chime in here.

Those guys couldn't hold Danny White's jockstrap!! Look at the guys record of success are you kidding me!!! I mean come on they pay a 2.5 million buy out for the guy and 1.8 million a year, you don't think they're going to let him spend some money on a coach you're delusional
