Hey guys,

Just getting started in collecting and looking to buy my first piece.

What's the price on Peyton autographs, game-worn jerseys, etc....

Prices vary greatly depending on the item. Cards would be in the low hundreds followed by 8x10s, mini helmets, helmets and jerseys. Most important thing is authenticity. Everyone can offer a certificate of authenticity but there are only a few reputable trustworthy industry standards. Upper Deck Authentic and PSA/DNA are two. Ebay is great for seeing what is out there just becareful and do your research. Happy hunting.

If you’re wanting non game used items, simply search Fanatics or Steiner. Game used is a totally different animal and you can’t get into the game used area for less than $10,000….and that’s a helmet….not a jersey.

One last thing….obviously since he’s going into the HOF tomorrow, items have increased in value considerably.
EVERYBODY knew Manning was going to the HOF. Why wouldn’t collectors have already baked that into price of collectibles? I could understand a slight bump but I find “considerable” a bit curious.

I think it depends...everyone knew but after he retired, prices obviously took a hit because out of sight, out of mind. Now that he's being inducted into the hall, his prices definitely increased dramatically.

i disagree with a lot that has been said here. i do not believe prices will be increasing dramatically. as someone said earlier, i think that everything has already been baked into his prices. As for autographed stuff, the reason it will not spike is that there is so much available. will there be a small bump? probably for a short while, but his stuff will settle in eventually.

I must respectfully disagree with you. As someone that collects game used memorabilia has done so for 20 years…including doing authentication work for multiple auction houses…including disqualifying over half a million dollars worth of bogus memorabilia…and as having possibly the #1 Manning game used collection in America, I feel I’m qualified to comment on the value of his items. If I told you how much I paid for his AFC Championship jersey and how much I paid for his Citrus Bowl game worn jersey…and how much I’ve been offered for them, you’d be shocked. Trust me, his game used gear has jumped considerably.

well, i do not collect "game used" memorabilia so i am not someone to have a discussion about that. if you want to discuss his UT Trading cards, we can talk. but hey, we all collect what we collect. the reason i do not look for "game used" is that if i did not see it come off his back, or have paperwork from UT stating the history of it, i have no trust in whether it is game used or not and have to lean to it not being game used. i know where 4 of his game used jerseys are, and the only reason i trust them is that i know how many 0's were on the checks these people wrote to UT during that time. Press Pass, Donruss, Upper Deck, and Panini has claimed they have had game used jerseys they used for cards, and Donruss claims that one is a Citrus Bowl Jersey based on the cards I have seen with pieces of the patch in them, and i am confident i know where one citrus bowl jersey is, so perhaps you have the other one. but i read where many of the game used the trading card companies had were bought on the secondary market, so trust what you will.

You and I simply can agree to disagree….and that’s ok. My jerseys are photo matched. I can prove, beyond a doubt, my jerseys are the ones worn in the game. Further, if you know where 4 of his game used jerseys are….I’ll pay well to put me in touch with the owners. I am not saying you’re wrong and I’m not calling BS. I’m simply saying if you know where all these jerseys are, I’ll make it well worth your time to introduce me to the people who have them.

Which ones are you still looking for, Loomis?

I doubt it's considered memorabilia, but I have always valued game recordings. It's awesome to be able to hold something in your hand, especially games used items, but it's also pretty cool to be able to go back and watch the player/team in action. I know there's alot on youtube, but there's not as much on youtube as some people have in their personal collections alone.

Not prying on your purchase price, that’s your business. But I gotta know what you’ve been offered for those jerseys. Gotta be pretty mind blowing.

In today’s market, my Peyton jersey collection is worth at LEAST 500K. However I would not take 500K for it.
Good for you. Just a thought, and I'm unsure if you even live near Knoxville or whatever, but with Peyton going in the NFL HOF this year UT could and should honor him at a game.

With your collection and Peyton and his family as a draw, maybe the school would sponsor a "meet, greet, and look at the collection" as a high dollar fund raising idea. A little smooze, pictures, etc..... and money for whatever Peyton wants it to go to.

Just a thought. You may prefer the collection to be more private, I understand that.

I’d be happy to display it. I know this sounds self serving, but I believe in my heart that his AFC Championship jersey should be in Canton and the Citrus Bowl jersey should be in the college hall of fame…. Not in my closet.
