Derek Dooley will and should be our coach at least one more year. I've made no bones about it on here that I thought firing CPF in mid-season was a mistake. Let's not make another mistake. Play the rest of the year out, we will win all of them, play a decent ACC team in the MCB, and get a win. Does any big time coach want to come in here next year and go on the road to Ala, Fla, and Oregon in their first year. I think it would set us back further to make the move now. One more year.

I prefer to look at it as a mistake was made with DD, therefore we should correct it....why continue something we know is broken and doesn't work?

No no no no no I don't want to guarantee setting the program back another year. I want to get a winner.

Write this down,

Derek Dooley is done, and it will more than likely be made public in 48 hrs.

I'll be sure to write it down on some of this. Can't guarantee it will survive tomorrow morning though.

Ok.

1. Who is out there?
2. Who do you want?
3. Will they come to Tenn?

Nah, lets fire him tomorrow and hire a fired NFL coach, that's worked so well.

And what's stopping you from playing this stupid game next year? The same questions will be asked then.

Nah let's keep Dooley, that's worked so well.

as long as dooley is coach, i won't travel to knoxville. i know my 1-2 tickets i buy is irrelevant, but i'm sure i'm not the only one who feels this way. dooley is a loser, and thats a fact. and as long as we have a loser as a coach we will be competitive with the bottom of the sec east every year. hello new rivals vandy and kentucky

No matter what, at least wait until the end of the season. Then, see who is out there. The record is the same, but Tenn IS leaps and bounds ahead of where we were last year.

Same record as when he started.
7-5>7-5:question:

There are some things to look at as positives from this season , winning has not been one of them. our offense has piled up good numbers and would have better numbers if bray hadn't thrown all those picks or the wr's had caught all those dropped passes and our kicking game didn't suck out loud as it often does. With all of those things we still have scored enough points to win most of our games( I said most not all). The biggest problem we have is a defense that has had more missed assignments in one year alone than a well coached defense would have in 5 years, I can handle being beat by a better team but I can't stand beating ourselves as we often do. Dooley has shown us nothing to say he is the guy but he would have more room for coaching errors and mental lapses if we had a defensive coach who knew what they were doing. I have to lay most of the blame for this year on Sal.

I thought we had to get rid of Buzz Peterson, we had to get rid of Fulmer (not necessarily all to do with wins/losses), and I also think that Dooley deserves another year. I just think people greatly underestimate the mess that was here and the talent deficit we are still recovering from compared to the rest of top SEC teams. This is all compounded by the fact that the SEC loaded more than any conference at any time in modern cfb history.

No. Just no. Unless Hart wants to alienate the fanbase and see Neyland half empty on national TV, then he will make a change.

Anyone would be an upgrade.

Who? Can they get Dennis Miller to take over for Gruden on MNF, him quit a millionaire pie-job and come to Knoxville? Chip Kelly? His team is going to be 3rd in the BCS tomorrow. Im sure he'll drop what he's doing.

Look, we can go back and forth all evening. All I'm saying is the HANDLING of the firing of CPF has a lot to do with the situation we're in. Please, and I will always be a Vol, get it right this time.
