'25 WR Zachariah Branch (Georgia commit🤮)

Well they certainly tried with Branch but got no traction there. Nobody else has caught their fancy too hard to this point. It’s my belief if the right guys are there then they will be aggressive but nothing...

By the time the “right guys” get to the portal they’re already headed somewhere. Just seems like we’re behind.

I will say we’ve done the most important part well which is retention. Oline was the most important thing, they’ve started to address that. Sounds like we’ll add Jefferson probably.

Have to feel like it’s a gamble if we don’t get another solid WR. Would suck royally if we wasted probably the only other year we get with Nico. Our defense should be awesome again. But can get explosive plays on offense as is?

Not sure why you would want to go to UGA. If you want a top flight QB throwing to you, you’d think coming here was a no brainer.

yeah, not too upset about them going to Georgia. Big pick up for them but low impact. Even when they have great WRs they don't feature them enough. its just not Smart's style.

Their starting 3 had 14 TDs this season.

Ours had 6.

We had one of the worst WR units in the conference this past season.
Interesting. I also thought they were bad this year. Think I heard Herbstreit say they had the most drops in the country. Guess that didn't stop them from continuing to sling it.

Herbstreit is an idiot.

One guy had 600 yards
Another with 800
Bell almost had 500.

Our WRs were not good this year.

UGA also threw the ball a lot more than we did.

Even subtracting the SEC champ game, UGA had 110 more pass attempts than Vols.
Yet GA like us were one and done, they were not the GA of the past 4 years ago. I am sure their boards are filled with the same frustrations of the young minds that our has become.

I said I wasn’t impressed last year. This year was a step back from that. Idk why but seems like we’re regressing at WR position.
