WR is becoming a question mark

I expect Rogers will be back.

The biggest question for me is Hunter's health. I just don't see him being 100%.

People on here think D Rogers has been suspended and others don't. You are in the know, yet I haven't seen that you have stated one way or the other.

What's your call?

My understanding is he is not being allowed to participate in team functions. they are not calling it a suspension but it sounds like one to me.. supposed to include spring practice..

I don't know why he would be allowed at the football facility to work out then.

Still can't figure out why Rod Wilks got moved to safety instead of playing at WR, the position he was recruited for. 30 TD's his senior year in HS, All-state selection, Class 5A Mr. Football, back-to-back state champion. I still remember Coach Cutcliffe telling me how much he reminded him of Robert Meachem. All the Chuck Norris jokes aside, Rod was an offensive beast that got lost in the last three years of coach shuffling. Sad.

Prima donna. Wants to be the number one guy as a true freshman. Thinks if he goes somewhere else they won't be as stocked at WR as we are.

I'd say it has a lot more to do with his dad being really sick, and wanting to be closer to him..

Even with all the top notch medical attention and rehab he will have received? He will have had almost 12 months of rehab and strength building. I understand the concern though, as with any injury of that nature, return to normal is not guaranteed.

So if it is all about his dad's medical issues why use the words "isn't the right fit"?

Janzen worked out at facility while "suspended" last spring..

No offense. I believe you are wrong here. This suspension thing was a scape goat, web based rumor from the get go. Suspended players aren't around the facility, at meals, working out, etc.

Janzen was not enrolled in school.

I think he was enrolled in school actually, I know he had a job on campus. Passing summer classes was part of his process to be reinstated I believe. There were also pictures of him observing practices.

I am almost certain he withdrew from the spring semester. To add to that it would be a ncaa violation to allow him to workout at the facility if he wasn't enrolled IMO.

Larry,

Since you have shared a lot about DR and JJ I am going to ask a discipline question.

Was DR disciplined in anyway throughout the year for his issues?

The reason I ask this is it seems very odd to me that if he wasn't disciplined in season that DD would choose the steps he has taken now. Cutting him off from the program, whether you call it a suspension or not, seems very much like a last ditch effort to modify his attitude. Did DD skip steps 1-4 and jump right to step 5 in the discipline process?

Not to my Knowledge.

I don't know the answer to the last part. Based on what I've heard, doesn't sound like anything was attempted in season and that is what CCB had an issue with. Why jump to 5??? here is a guess:

CDD had sites on a bowl game for lots of reasons you can determine. He had his top WR down and his QB down. Does he risk season by removing the one guy on offense who was able to move the chains?? Even when Bray was healthy, could TB have been as good with 21?? Who would have stepped in for 21 if you sat him??

Thanks for the answer. I wasn't saying that sitting him would be part of those first few steps of discipline. It just seems very odd to me that this is the first step to take in correcting his attitude and if it is then DD is seriously missing the boat on managing his kids. Removing kids from the structure of team activities should be a last resort after many other steps have failed.

Everyone is up on Croom and Pig, but I think Bowles will be the best of the bunch...he is so polished and stout
