Dooley announced the addition of evander Wells who is a world class sprinter
He should be the KR.
We may get a player from la who Frank Wilson liked but who was asked to greyshirt.
No further fallout from the bar fight night.

Dave Clark not being eligible definitely counts as bad news in my book

Expected news though. Not good but at least it wasn't a sucker punch. Today has been very good. Odd day to have a good one isn't it...

Why should he be the kick returner?

Probably just a guess based on him being 5'8" 160 or so, likely fastest player on the team. Of course he's gotta be able to field it and have instincts, but a short, blistering fast guy will surely get a look there, I imagine. Hope he turns out to be a football player...we'll see.

Thanks for the insight guys. I had no idea this Wells guy would be so indefensible for opposing teams. No doubt, he'll be a superstar.

How the heck did he go undiscovered until now?

You just weren't paying attention. I knew about him all along but no one listens.

That is a great question.
I think he was concentrating on track throughout his career and maybe wanted to play football since it was his last year. I am not going to say he gets any type of spot over someone already here unless he proves he is good with the ball in his hands. If he can do that, then give him a shot and see what happens.

He should be the kick returner because he is a world class sprinter. When speed is involved there is no competition. In other words speed kills. :good!:

I think what JT is pointing out is we don't know if the guy can even field a KO or punt worth a crap yet. There's been a lot more failed attempts than successes in turning track burners into football stars. As of yet this guy hasn't proven anything on the gridiron to the coaches.

Ask most coaches to make a choice between a 4.5 guy that always makes the catch, usually makes the first guy miss and doesn't fumble vs a 4.2 guy who makes them pray we finish the play with possession of the football and you'll see where the priorities are.

Now, if you have a guy that can do all that and be a burner...well that'd be sweet.
