When a team is coming off two straight revenge upsets (Like OM is with A&M and Alabama), they are 0-23 in covering the spread in the third game.

It's gonna be a close one. I believe in the Big Orange.

Woooo. we lead the nation in nail chewing moral victories. One of these times the other team will blink and we'll be able to call it a win!

It was covering the spread. It's also pretty stupid. You can always find a way for a number to make you look good.

Well, then hopefully Ole Miss is not out for revenge for 2010.

Or, perhaps that was simply our revenge game for 2009.

If they are "out for revenge" I doubt it is just for that one game. It's probably for their 1 of the last 15, or their 19 wins to our 44 in the series.

Well, we typically break the worst records so this could be one of those. I don't see how worley survives this game. We better have a game plan.

Vols 17
Ole miss 10

We win because ole miss offense has a bad day and turns it over 4 times

I am old enough that I am still looking for pay back for the Jackson Massacre where we were undefeated and ranked 3rd in the nation and lost to Archie Who and the boys 38-0. With Ole Miss ranked 3rd this would be perfect redemption for that infarction 45 years ago.

Some individual has a job that solely consists of pouring over numbers in the ESPN database to find stats like that. I can't decide if that's awesome or depressing

You mean they normally don't have a game plan.... I'm sure they will just throw the kids into the fire. I hear CBJ gave the whole team the week off.

I'll second that!

I believe this is a case of "number voodoo". Have you/are you actually going to place a cash bet based on this? I hope not, save your $$$$. When the total number of letters in the centers middle name is larger than the total number of letters in our oppositions Dline coache's first child':hi:s middle name.........
This is voodoo, don't get sucked in.

I believe you're on to something here, as a large number of OM's players are not from Mississippi and/or were playing HS football in 2009, I'm sure they are Super Duper upset at the 2009 game! They want Revenge!!
Are you actually betting some cash based on this?:hi:

This! Along with the fact that the Vols will be the 1st defense ranked in the top 40 that Ole Miss has faced could spell bad day for the Rebels.
