Not to mention who FBS will put us up against on the season opener if we are indeed the team in the kickoff classic. Notice that slot is still unfilled. It will be a team from the ACC... probably FSU or Miami. We will definitely have the #1 ranked toughest schedule that year.

What better way to see what your team can do. I like the schedule. You make through the heavy top half and win 5 of 6 or 6 of 6 and your in the top 10. And if were not, the whole thing is fixed and I want my money back!

Oregon is typically about an 8-9 win type of team, and at least one of the others will probably be at about that level in 2010 as well. Plus there's a bye week and a game with UAB thrown in. It's tough, but I'd rather play that slate than what Texas dealt with in a 21-day span earlier this season, when they had to play Oklahoma, Mizzou, Okie State and Texas Tech.

Of the teams you just list, OU is only one that plays any D.
Or let me rephrase has any D. The Big 12, is the new PAC 10.:good!:

The off week before Alabama helps but the LSU/Georgia back to back is the roughest to me. Hopefully, if I am right about the bafoon at LSU, they will drop a notch or two in the SEC hierarchy.

Really, I hate the schedule. Judging by how this year unfolded, a team needs impressive wins late to jump others in the polls. Having a front loaded schedule is no benefit at all.

Well, look at it this way, if you are good enough to be ranked in 2010 then its a nice problem to have to win early to solidify your spot.

More likely you will not have to worry about that, however.

If people are banking on Kiffin signing a top QB in the 2010 class instead of this year, then we may have a true freshman QB trying to navigate that schedule.

What's that supposed to mean?

That's freakin brutal!

Yeah...Sure is...Maybe one day Your beloved Gators will grow a set and schedule teams of that caliber...Florida has not played a tough OCC team outside of the state of florida since moby dick was a minnow...Hell even UGA is scheduling tough games out of state now :peace:

The back half of the schedule is nearly as bad as the front half is good. South Carolina, Memphis, Mississippi (which should be the only tough game in the stretch or the Vols are in trouble), Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

When you have programs the caliber of Miami and FSU instate, why would you bother scheduling OOC out of state?
