Wow!! Butch is working HARD!

I'm being serious Vonore. A few months ago, all I was reading was how hard Dooley and his guys were working and all the effort that was being expended and we just needed to give them time. Now they're gone and they were all lazy bums but the new guys are really busting thier humps and all will be well if we just give them time? It's ridiculous. Butch Jones did not come in here with the gravitasse to get a long leash from a big part of our fanbase. He's going to have to earn the benefit of the doubt. Maybe that's unfair compared to the wagon circled encampments that some guys got to walk into and I'm sure it doesn't make the job any easier but that's what he signed up for.

In 31 days we signed 8 kids that were committed elsewhere, yet you say CBJ has nothing to show for it. We are in on a ton of jrs already, yet you say there is nothing to see. We are just a few spots behind the likes of Ga, USC, etc and ahead of the likes of Oregon that lose 1 game a year.
Wake the **** up and try to be objective about something, rather than being a straight up crybaby.

He's putting in hours like a boss. I think he is genuine and he loves the Vols. It's looking up in Knoxville, I'm super stoked we finally seem to have a coach who "gets it". He's got the players fired up, pulled a decent recruiting class with absolutely no time, is open with fans and former players, I'm proud to pull for the Vols, I feel optimistic for the first time in 3-4 years. Coach Jones will be a keeper in my opinion.

No if I wanted likes I would just say inspirational stuff about Tennessee Or just update things in the recruiting form

You're amazing. Bet you accuse your wife of cheating on you when she goes shopping. Lulz.

Relax man. Were talking football. Pull up a chair. Have a beer.

Daddy loves you boy.

I've seen so many of these threads and posts about the staff being hard workers and i m still trying to figure out what the point is. Is it just a contrast with the lack of effort by his predecessor? Or are we supposed to awed by the expenditure of effort without anything to show for it? The comparative thing I understand. As to lauding work for work's sake, I have more respect for someone who works smart and achieves maximum results with minimum effort.

Sounds like something Derek Dooley would say.

"Go see Vonn Bell? Who's that? Nah... just have one of the GA's to call him, next month.

There. Minimun efforts. Maximum results.

I'd call that one minimum results from minimum efforts, which to me is no different from minimum results from maximum efforts when it comes to recruiting and most everything else.

Who did we get those 8 away from? How many of those 2014 prospects have stepped up and tried to help get the avalanche of positivity started by committing to CBJ? I'd trade classes with UGA or SC in a heartbeat and anyone who claims differently is a liar or a football idiot. C'mon back when you're ready to get served again.

Dude who gives a crap about high school coaches not meeting Dooley....The reason why they never met Dooley is bc all there players sucked
So you know which HSs will have the top talent in the state 2-5 years down the road? An you handle is V4L? You really dont see the big picture and the damage that was done under Dooley do you?

The issues with Dooley should not have mattered. He's gone and this was a new day. The people who cited Dooley as an issue were just looking for cover to make life a little easier for theselves when they have to confront angry Vol fans.

Don't know where u heard this. Were you aware of DD being called out at a function by a booster in Memphis last year for his lack of efforts in the state?
I do agree, work hard but work smart. The fact is that CBJ has already done more to restore and foster relationships with former players and fans than DD did in three years. Did u know that one of Ramseys coaches was former Vol Buck Fitzgerald. Did dools work that connection? So if fans get a little excited so what? I agree CBJ is only doing what a man making $3 mil ought to do. But that doesn't mean the average fan cant enjoy.

Yeah, no ****. I'd trade classes with ga. They signed 32 compared to our 21 and are ranked higher. Their coach has also been there for more than a couple of months, they are in a recruiting hotbed, and they aren't coming off a losing season and 4th coach in a few years. Some of us have perspective. Some don't. Some of you are whiny little girls. Most aren't.

minimum effort and maximum results, that sounds to me like parasites, I understand that they win in the game of life, but their time will come too, sooner that they think.

I do not like parasites, :hi:

Go vols!

Go Butch!

coaches get paid millions to work "hard" --- shouldn't be considered any big deal

Just because they get paid millions doesn't mean that they will. The last HC really stunk it up in recruiting not recruiting highly rated kids in his home state.

Of course it shouldn't be considered a big deal. He can work like Dooley if he wants to, right?

Some people don't have a clue. It absolutely beeeelows my mind.

Every time I hear CBJ say that Tennessee is his dream job it brings tears to my eyes. I like this guy and I hope that he has success beyond our expectations. If he don't then I don't think it's because he's not trying. The guy has a passion for our program that has not been seen since the Fulmer days. Football season can't get here fast enough!!!!
