Wow at the Gator fans

I am not one to say that we should win going away. I am not one to say that the gators have won nine in a row and it's in the Vols heads. I AM the one saying that our home field advantage tomorrow will be wicked awsome and that Butch and team 118 will refuse to let this streak go any further.

Reasons why this is a close game.
1. Muschamp is on the hot seat and wants to cool off with a win.
2. UT is young and will make some young mistakes in such a big game.
3. UF must win this game to stay in the East hunt. Lose, and that dream is over.
4. 9 wins in a row should give the UF players confidence.
5. Two weeks to prepare for a division rival.
6. Players that are at least an equal, talent wise to UT.

I'll play Devils advocate:
1. Muschamp might have already lost this team. They might not want to fight for him in a crunch. They haven't put up much of a fight for over a year when the going gets tough.
2. If Driskel plays poorly, he will be benched for a freshman. That freshman will be in the loudest stadium that he has ever been in! Mistakes will occur in that scenario.
3. Playoffs..you talking playoffs...they are just hoping to win a game.
4. They keep saying that over and over about 9 in a row, gonna make it 10 in their heart, but in their head they are saying I'm worried this time.
5. Two weeks of thinking about it. After getting confidence shattered at Bama. Two weeks of pumped in noise to get accustomed to the Neyland. Will the checks work, will they even be heard. Our qb sux. If the freshman comes in he will line up under the guard more than likely. Oh, crap.
6. Why aren't we better than what we are showing? Oh yeah, our coach sux. I wonder if we lose, would we get a better coach next year? Butch Jones is gonna kill us.

Jk, I think it will be a close game too.

Based on what we've seen from UF the last 10-11 games, why would any UF fan have confidence going into tomorrow...other than clinging to history and hoping a much improved UT team somehow craps the bed.

UF's performance at Bama compared with UT's performance at UGA speaks volumes about where both teams are.

Good point but I'm still nervous. I thought we had your number in 2012 and we saw what happened. But, this team is more soundly coached and if they get down they've proven they don't quit so that will make a huge difference.

The bolded part - it may be in the fans head, but definitely not in the players.

A distinct advantage IMO. Our homegrown freshman playmakers like Kelly JR, Hurd, Malone etc. have never lost to Florida but they are from Tennessee so they know the game's significance.

Gator fans are spoiled. To them. 8-3 is a crappy year. I hope we can help welcome them back to reality. What I'd really like to see is FU return to the backburner program that they were for the last 100 years before the 1990s... but that is unfortunately unlikely.

Yeah those days are over for them. they don't have lil Urbie or the olde ball zack coaching them anymore.

I thought Hurd's reaction to the comments were priceless. I have known more than a few people who got quiet when they got pissed.

Don't be surprised at all if he runs angry all game and trucks a few people.

As for Florida's offense, well they have a good WR and a decent RB. That about sums that up. Their D isn't all that bad except for the fact that they gave up 600 yards to a game manager QB and a stable of RB's. How many yards did they give up on the ground again?

35-21 Vols win. In doing so, they send shock waves through the SEC east. The Georgia game got people's attention but after the smackdown of the Gators, people all across the country will be aware.

This young vol team full of boys will become men after this win.

They will have confidence because they know that we USUALLY give them the game with fumbles, missed field goals, interceptions or blown coverage by d.b.'s.
They are counting on us to blow the game OR to get a key injury. Justin Hunter, Worley, etc. etc.

There were years when even Vandy and Ky. played us close but we always pulled it out with some type of play. We expected to win!!!!

There are several ways that Florida COULD win this game. (1) We give them the game (2) They hurt Worley.(3) They outplay our offensive line and Worley doesn't have the necessary time to throw the ball.

Those are the only things that Florida can hang their hat on.

I know for sure that bUTch will not be out coached by Muschamp...

Not sure about the ref's but I would hope that they just let us play ball.

I see us with a win IF we win the t/o stat.
