At some point we have to trust those that know A LOT more than we do. I wouldn't be super excited about the hire but I'm going to support who CPF chooses. I would be a little more excited if it was a Chad Morris/Venables hire. That doesn't seem all that bad.

How can you not support any hire at this point? seriously?

let's just make the school MORE toxic and less inviting to incoming coaches!

Great idea:eek:k:

I would feel like I did when Dooley/Butch were hired. Oh, great, another coach from a mid-major school with a horrible record. The same exact thing over again. I'm sure that would go over real well with recruits, as well. They'd run for the hills.

I think we should aim higher, but if thats the best we can do, then I think we should give him a chance. I would expect for more CBJ years and then out though.

Depends. He’d be way down the list due to lack o’ experience. It would look something like:

Gruden/Petersen
Patterson
Kiffin
Leach
Miles
Brohm
Morris
Tee/Venables

Fulmer should be able to do better than Morris quite frankly. If for some reason no one wants the job, then okay.

So much for simple yes or no...

I don't see Morris being hired. But, at this point, I support and trust Fulmer. I'm also tired of the drama and hope not to see all new fan protests and crying.

Define "support."

Will I be happy about it? No way!
Will I protest and tweet him that we don't want him? No way!

He could work here. I'd just be surprised.

Morris is atypical among NCAA Division I head football coaches in that he did not play football at the college level. He is one of only four such coaches along with Paul Johnson at Georgia Tech, David Cutcliffe at Duke, and Mike Leach at Washington State.
But does he play a band instrument?
